Wow I'd never seen the Sky sports version of this fight. Those announcers were right on the money. Compare that to the cocksucking that Lampley was doing for the HBO team. Day and night right there.
many people who diss wladimir in that fight would also say hopkins or toney is a genius when avoiding punches. well as far as im conserned hopkins puts his head down around a fighters belt line, turns away etc. even toney turns away..... yet because it's wladimir we are talking about it's a different kettle of fish. atsch
wladimir will ko sam peter in a rematch. the video highlights the desperation of the wlad haters. in most of those clinches, peter causes them being the shorter man, he simply angles his head and charges forward as if trying to headbutt wladimir's chest. wladimir naturally the taller fighter who isn't a inside fighter has two options. tie his man up (which peter was more than willing to comply) or raise his hands up over his head and say to peter "go on, hit me for free like mayorga". also why does peter seem to barrel into wladimir head first? so he can get inside wladimir's punches for a REST. why does he want a rest? because taking flush bombs on the melon is bound to tired even the toughest fighters out there. if peter stayed outside and tried to wing haymakers he would have been ko'ed by the mid rounds. if peter tried to get on the inside but tuck his arms in in order to do some actual WORK instead of opening them wide for a big hug, then he might have had more success. but no.... peter was getting ROYALLY ****ED in that fight and every time he wanted a breather in he went for the big hug. so again, wladimir either clinches in that situation, or gives peter free shots once peter recupperates. peter lost the first fight. and he will lose the rematch in devastating fashion. and then FINALLY the haters will have to get new material!
Bull****. I can't stand Hopkins either for the tactics he uses. Nor did I appreciate Lennox Lewis for the very same reason! Infact the tactics that Calzaghe employed versus Kessler completely turned me off to him as a fighter. Clinching and spoiling in a fight rank very dubious in my eyes no matter who it is doing it. More bull****. I guess you see a halo in those frames too because none of us see it. Rational minds see Klitschko closing the distance when afraid of getting hit. Rational minds see Klitschko ILLEGALLY tying up Sam Peter's left hook and then ILLEGALLY turning his head away from the right hand. Rational minds also see Klitschko ILLEGALLY leaning on Sam Peter's back and neck throughout the whole 12 rounds. It isn't desperation. It's a blunt fact. Your man employed some pretty shady tactics to SURVIVE against Sam Peter. Should a rematch occur and a proper ref gets that fight, Waldo is going to lose. Guaranteed. He's far more one dimensional now than he's ever been. And far more timid than he was prior to Sanders. He won't be on top for very long. More bull****. Look throughout history at fighters like Buster Douglas against Mike Tyson, Riddick Bowe against Evander Holyfield, George Foreman against Joe Fraizer, Sonny Liston against Floyd Patterson and the list goes on and on. Waldo USED to be able to deal with smaller men. But that's something that he has completely abandon in order to fight a safety first fight. Which does nothing for fans except the hardcore who would watch Waldo no matter what. Little secret here. Uppercuts are the big man's weapon against the smaller man. Look at how McCline was able to do what Klitschko couldn't over 12 rounds. And then come back and tell me that Klitschko is the best in the world. He couldn't even drop Ibragimov over 12 rounds when Austin was able to. He wasn't barreling in. He was trying to get within range to punch. You can't possibly understand this if you don't see it with a rational mind. A taller opponent has only to step out of range to avoid your punches. So you must step in twice as much to reach his chin. This is why smaller guys like Sam Peter and David Tua reach with left hooks. Because they have to. And if the fight should ever get within their normal range, they are tied up and not allowed to punch back. Something which should be illegal in boxing but is allowed to continue. You don't get it. How the hell can you possibly punch a guy who jumps at you, and grabs your left arm and turns his back to your right? You can't stop that. I don't care who you are. Unless the guy doing it to you is so god awful slow you can time him attempting to do it. Otherwise you are ****ed. Look at how far John Ruiz got being mediocre. I rest my case. Man are you blind. I don't even suggest you rewatch the fight because you'll probably end up jerking off watching it. Obviously you weren't watching it to figure out what actually happened. Or he uses an uppercut. Which is what a big man ought to do against a smaller man inside. You know? Something to actually make it a fight and not a wrestling match. No, he won't lose the rematch. Steward is turning your man into a one dimensional bum. A bum who can't even pull the trigger on an overwhelmed significantly smaller opponent who stays on the end of the jab all night. When his cheese tactics are limited and he has Sam Peter in front of him again, he is gonna get knocked out. Or disqualified. One of the two.
Not having solid skills and being a well schooled boxer doesn't automatically wins a cheater label for you. I don't think he aims for the back of the head but he relies much on power alone and not as much on technique or on punching precision. There are many awkward fighters out there who punch with the inside of the glove or "tricky" fighters who aim at the borderline and they don't get critisized as much.
Your taking nuthugging delusion to a new level, its obvious in the video that Wlad is lunging in so as to grab hold and lean on, you even see Sam pushing him off many times only for Wlad to lunge in again to attempt to grab the back of his kneck and hold on. Even in round 12 when Wlad hit him and hurt him with that left hook, what did wlad follow it up with, he lunged in and leant on the back of Peter in hope that his weakened legs would be even more weakened by his weight which again the incompetent ref Randy Neuman did not warn him for. The only time ive seen a ref admonish Wlad for his holding was in the first Brewster fight and we all know what happened once he was told not to hold! Wlads holding tactics This content is protected
Watch the James Toney fight. Toney DID NOT turn his back on Peter and Peter MEASURES UP TONEY'S HEAD AND AIMS FOR THE BACK OF IT WITH HIS RIDICULOUS CLUBBING ROUNDHOUSE SHOTS.
Your mental state in life is worse. Who's the bigger star, who's richer, and who is a jackass who can't get laid? Well we all know the answer to all those questions keyboard warrior.
Like you said Kobe is God, the ref should of at least warned Wlad and took a point away the next time he did it. I dont remember a ref taking a point away from Hagler, when he hit Hearns in the back of the head and got knocked down, or when Foreman hit Frazier in the back of the head as well and he went down, you turn your back to avoid a punch, thats illegal. So your telling me if you have your fighter hurt and you know he's about to go down, and he turns his back and puts his head down to avoid your punches, your suppose to stop and let ref step in? It just makes no sense IMO, if your oppenent turns his back in the fight, thats his problem and they deserve what they get.
fair enough but rabbit punching is "always" illegal so the ref should not allow it. I can agree with this but u must remember the rabbit punches mostly came when they were in clinches and Peter threw those looping shots. I would say Peter spun him as much as Wlad turned his head. "It is always illegal to hit a boxer in the back of the head." Look, im not irrational. Wlad should have probably had a couple of pts taken away. But Peter should not have been awarded those Kds and deducted at least 2 or 3 pts. His fouls are much more damaging and could seriously injure a fighter. I don't know if he should have been DQ'ed but it's pretty clear this fight would have a double digit pts victory for Wlad if reffed properly with both men losing pts and peter losing at least 2 of the 3 kds. I just don't want to hear how Wlad got away with murder in this fight. Peter fouled just the same and both should have been penalized. I think that's very fair.
I agree, the fight was fair IMO, both men used illegal tactics to win that fight, the ref let them handle the problem themselves. I'm just sick of the Peter Haters claiming that Wlad would of won by a widder margin, because in all fairness, while Peter did hit Wlad in the back of the head, Wlad put his head into a few of them, it's just like a headbutt, if one fighter is trying to get inside, and butts him, it's unintentional. I just know when Foreman hit Frazier or when Hagler hit Hearns in the back of the head, the ref didnt take any points away, because it was clear that they tried to get away from there oppenent by turning there back, and they ended up getting caught with the punch in the back of the head. Im going to rewatch the opening scenes in the dressing room before the Peter/Toney 1 fight, the ref addressed Toney in the locker room, he said something like " If you turn your back he's allowed to hit you ", Because Toney was complaining about punches in the back of the head, but I will rewatch it and get back to you on that.
