Peter hasn't fought for 3 years and hasn't won for 4 years. After the poundings he got late in his career from Wlad and Helenius he should have stayed retired.

Don't forget, the poundings he took from Vitali, Vlad, Helenius, etc. He should be rich, he made lots of money, but it appears that Don King is with him, so I guess he is broke..............just as Tyson...............

Iron chinned who also packs a mean punch

Eddie Chambers said Peter is easily the 2nd hardest puncher he's ever faced, just below Waldo

    clearly a no-no for Windmiller

He's 33, a former legit world titlist, and he was set to fight Glaskov for 50K.

But when the fight was cancelled, then remade, cancelled and remade, he found it tough to stay in camp, esp when the purse went from 50 to 30K........and his prep time from 10 wks to 2 wks.....

Thats not the type of respect you give to a former world champion.

He's took a long time to recover from old wounds, and Im certain, this KO win over Rossy will elevate him back into the the world rankings, and then he can take a few journeymen en route to testing some more of these upncomers.

If he can pass those tests, a healthy and proud Sam Peter wont be laying down like a Malik Scott. Instead, he'll be trading bombs and looking to decapitate anyone with legs smaller than their arms.....ie Wilder.:D

Legit world titlist my ass! :rofl He relied on Don King to first block Vitali from getting his immediate shot at Maskaev when he returned, then Don King had to take the fight against Maskaev to Mexico where he could steal the title by rabbit punching Maskaev into a referee stoppage. His first defense of his stolen title, he was made Vitali's *****.

Not to mention, he's never KO'd anyone above C level.

Maskaev Sykes and Williams were all legit Blevel fighters.....Maskaev bordered on A level contender except his chin issues.

I didnt like Peter vs Wlad 1, but his rabbit punching and thudding winging style were nearly enough to stop a top 5 ATG HW Champion.

Peter is legit......even in defeat. Glad he's coming back. Just hope he has the same intensity as before.

would love to see his name back in the top 10, soas he can clear out a few of these socalled KO machines.

Peter vs Wilder or Arreola would be a hoot.:good

Fight is off, but he will probably compete in a 'super 8' tournament on June 4 in New Zealand. Kali Meehan, Michael Sprott and Martin Rogan joined too.

Enjoyed his style, the Helenius loss he was swinging bombs that were unlucky not to connect. Not a guy anybody would relish facing if back to best.

    :yep

I hope this comeback actually materializes. Peter has had several comeback fights lined up over the years that didn't come about it. He's probably another victim of one of Don King's infamous shady contracts.

There's $500,000 on offer in that tournament. Winner alone gets about $200,000.

    fffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuucccccccccccccckkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk

    fights off?????

wtf.....this was perfect comeback opportunity, and winning the "super 8" woulda just cemented him right back into the top 20.

Wish he'd get a few rds in before the tournament, and take those wins and run with em.

The WBC needs some veteran blood, and Arreola just doesnt do it for me.

Peter needs to be who nex.:deal
