sam peter is back against derrick rossey=march 22

Just seeing Peter back in the ring and fighting to win, rather than being brought in as an opponent gave me chills.

I know that Peter, like Arreola is not a top 5 HW ATM, but our veteran leadership in the division is aweful. It's all prospects, and fringe contenders like Jennings, Wilder, Fury, Pulev, Glaskov, Perez, Takam, Szpilka, Ruiz Jr, Wach etc......

They top vets are few and far between, and when theyre fighting, it's vs journeyman or theyre being brought in as a gatekeeper.

Thompson and Johnson can't do all the work themselves. The division needs the Kali Meehans, Sasha Dimitrenkos, Sam Peter's, and Shannon Briggs......these guys can weed out some of the socalled fringe contenders and or elevate them to the next level.:think

 

Peter backed out of the super 8 tournament due to calf injury.

Peter is effective whenever he slugs it out, but when he tries to box he does not do well. Peter is a strong puncher, but he is a slugger, not a boxer..........
