Yes with Peter out it does not seem anything at all like a "super 8", I hate it too I was enjoying the idea of this tournament even though the age factor is much.

The ones who put the names together for this 'Super 8 Tournament' must have taken an eight ball.

I say they rename to New Zealand vs. a few old men 8 now...
The NZ boxers they are just throwing out there is really ridiculous, plain nobodys

If Rahman or Sprott don't win this, I'd be stunned. Literally nobody's in this tournament.

will be a sad day if our man dont win Vegas, he has to. I kind of wish it had more meaning now, really sucks about peter being out. Banks is interested though...

Is the prizemoney still 500000? That's crazy for these guys, puts the 32000 for prizefighter to shame. Collazo got less than that for fighting chief support on the Mayweather card

The winner is meant to be pocketing $200,000. I'd be asking to see the money first.

why are the NZ boxers in the tourney so bad? With the money they are offering couldn't they get better names?

Hunter Sam is the last man. He is an Australian bum with a 9-2 record. They should change the prizemoney to 50.000 dollar. Probably easy work for Sprott, unless Rahman shows us he is not shot to ****.

This tournament went from intriguing to mediocre. I was thinking the last 2-3 spots would be Tua, Maskaev, Thompson, etc.

Now we have 3 LOW CALIBER NZ guys, an Irish clubfighter, an American clubfighter, then a shot Meehan.

If Rahman is in shape and Sprott comes and does his usual tournament thing, they are the CLEAR favorite. Rahman definitely looks to be in much better shape than his fight with Povetkin, so as a big fan of his, I hope he wins.

Wonder how the first round will be paired up? Do they put Rahman, Sprott and Meehan against each other early, or do they pair them up with the underdogs in the first round? Apparently, the matchups are announced tomorrow.

Holyfield may be trying to get that last spot.
