Hoffmann is a pretty good choice of sparring partner for obvious reasons. I also read somewhere that Peter was sparring with McCline, but I'm not sure how true it is. Either way I'll be rooting for Peter in a big way tonight.
Let us analyze this. Hoffman lost to Vitlai Peter is paying Hoffman as your sparring partner. If your paid sparring partner says it is 50/50, it is more like 30/70 against.
that's what i thought too, hoffmann should be more loyal to his "boss". the fact that he is not, indicates peter wasn't that good in sparring or he doesn't want to say unpopular things on german tv (since he also gets payed by rtl).
