Question: How do you see the landscape, and do you think you have enough left in the tank to once again be the top guy in division? Klitschko: If I had to say who is the strongest one, no question Wladimir is the strongest in the division. In my opinion the second strongest is Samuel Peter and just after that is (Rusan) Chagaev and (Nikolai) Valuev. Question: My question was how do you feel physically? I know you feel 100 percent now. But do you feel that you still have enough left to be able to be one of the top guys in the division? Klitschko: You know what, I can explain to you how good I feel, but it’s much more important to show it with a good performance. Question: Why are you risking such a big fight without going in with a warm up beforehand. Klitschko: I don't need to warm up for fights. I feel great. I passed all the tests with my coach, and after that we decide to fight Samuel Peter. Question: You going to be suffering from any ring rust at all, Vitali? Klitschko: Last year, I was ready to fight anyone. Anyone. Actually last year I wanted to fight (Jameel) McCline. But after my announcement, Samuel Peter made a big mistake to fight McCline. Actually, Peter was lucky to win the fight because he was very close to losing the fight by decision. LOL
2 things I took from that: Peter actually thinks he beat Wlad but the judges gave the fight to Wlad? :roflatsch Team Peter has trained for a 6 round fight which is not good for Peter.
is that what you took from that quote. Imo its pretty obvious he was saying he had the fight in his pocket but gave it away by not fighting smart.
Well of course no trainer is going to say "Our fighter's been slacking off and eating the buffets and has gotten hurt in camp", this is part opinion and part PR.
expect alot of dirty tactics from peters, espcially when the fight goes south for him about rd. 3. In his last two fights *****-slapped by McCline and staggered by Oleg. Not a ringing endorsement of his new style....
Peter will bring a lunch box into the right and eat between rounds. Vitali does his fighting in the ring.
You really believe so? I think Vitali will win, IF he shows up in shape that is (and doesn't get injured during the fight :blood )
Gotto love the stupid woodchopping crap, Peter has probably been throwing kegs too. Apparently he is being trained by Mickey Goldmill. The rabbit punch comments were pretty funny. Especially Peters teams responses, something along the lines of "if he can see the back of their heads he is going to punch it".
