Looks like this is gonna be a go, full steam ahead. Nothing offical yet, but our Man Joecool has a handle on the situation. Here's what he says:

"Peter-Golota is almost done. Don King wants it, Peter wants it, Golota wants it, TV wants it. WBC ok'ed the fight. Vitali wants to fight in the Fall against the winner and then WBC champ at the beginning of 2009 will fight Virchis-Gomez winner."

    Golota UD:bbb

I can see now that Golota will get no respect in this fight. Hell, it took that chump Peter 6 rounds to do away with Maskaev, who was impersonating a zombie the night he 'fought' Peterhead.

    Thats better!

But I still don't think so. Andrew will do the Polish Rope-a-Dopeski on this haymaking fool & by round 3 Golota will start to go to work on him. I seriously can see a DQ win for Golota, if Smoger is the ref (by some miracle) & Peter starts examining the back of Andrews head, which is S.O.P. for Sam.

I think Golota finally takes this one. I think he survives Peter's early heavy shots, survives and adjusts, then proceeds to outbox Peter. I think he hurts Peter twice in the fight, maybe one knockdown, and takes a close UD or SD.

Agree. Golota will do it, this time.
    :good

Great to hear such a good matchup like this is likely. I think this will be a great fight.

That would be so sweet to see Golota stretch this guy out. Peters gonna be like a bull in a china shop early, so AG has to be ready to cover up & Rope-a-Dopeski his butt. After a couple of rounds, SP will be sucking air, Golota will finally relax & he can get down to business.

It will be something to look forward to, thats for sure!:!:

I'm telling ya, if Smoger is the ref., he'll let none of that rabbit punching BS by Peter happen. I can hear Steve now, "this is your final warning, Sam" as Golota is trying to put his eyeballs back in.

Hmmmmmmmmmm, I think if Golota won Vitali/Golota would be huge in Europe. Imagine the crowd for that one Poles vs Russians/Ukranians. I hope Golota wins.
