    Don't do THAT, bro!!

Even if Golota wins, he may got jobbed in the decision, a la Byrd and Ruiz.

Let's hope the Hearthbreaker can win back a bit of dignity.

    Go Andrew.

For one, King likes Golota, or rather, he likes the money Golota fights makes him.

The reason King makes money is that Golota is still, after all these years, a very marketable and is a popular heavyweight who has a sizeable fan following. People love to see a fighter who is not only very powerful and willing to exchange, but also very unpredictable and displays somewhat volatile behavior, at times. Everyone loves a loose cannon, and it also makes his fights even more atrractive, given that he can also punch like a cannon. LOL

Not to mention that Golota lost controversial decisions against two titleholders, in Byrd and Ruiz. I think King, and maybe the organization suits, see giving him yet another titleshot as maybe making up for his losing both of those close fights that some thought Golota won.

The Brewster loss was without controversy, though. No questioning that kind of outcome. LOL

But Golota has won three fights recently, and did beat Mollo in a very convincing manner, as well as showing that he is now able to maintain his composure and stay in a tough and hard fought fight. Something he could not do, before. So I think his fans, and King, have now got a bit of renewed hope that this new version of Golota may finally pull it off, if he were to be given one more chance.

But the titleshot is not just handed to him on a platter, no. He has racked up three good wins, and interest in him seems to be gaining steem in this latest comeback. So he may not fully deserve a titleshot right now, but he does somewhat deserve it, and given that its the ever controversial Andrew Golota that we are talking about, his marketability, unpredicability, and strong fan support are what pushes him on over the line...

And here we are, once again. Peter will be a tough opponent, but as I see it, if McCline can shine the floor with Peter's ass, so can Golota.

    Go, GOLOTA!

    GOLOTA FOR PRESIDENT!

Peter is a fast starter and Golota is a slow starter. Peter does tire as he was huffing and puffing after doing basically nothing against Maskaev. If Golota can make it out of the first 2 rounds or so he has a chance.

Prime Golota beats Peter up pretty good and stops him late. There would be nothing Peter could do to get past the jab. But with the current Golota, after another half year of inactivity, slowing reflexes, and slowing speed, he's not going to beat any of the title holders. Peter should beat him to the punch and wear him down with heavy power shots upstairs. If this goes past 6 or 7, Golota's chances do increase, although I feel Peter could still use his superior speed and jab to win the majority of the rounds and win a decision.

Don't understand how you can say that, brooky. Heres what Rico said:

"Peter is a fast starter and Golota is a slow starter. Peter does tire as he was huffing and puffing after doing basically nothing against Maskaev. If Golota can make it out of the first 2 rounds or so he has a chance."

Indeed he does. If Peter is gonna win via TKO, its got to happen early, not in the mid rounds. Golota survives those rounds, he'll loosen up, gain some confidence & start to put a hurtin' & boxing lesson on this very limited skilled fighter.

I believe Peter will get him any time between 3 and 6, and if he doesn't he'll win a decision. He's the younger fighter, the faster fighter at the moment, and has better reflexes.
