Writing in his Sun column, Warren said the fight would take place on July 12 at the O2 Arena.

"I?ve agreed terms with Don King for WBC heavyweight champ Sam Peter to fight at London?s O2 Arena on July 12," wrote Warren.

"I?m holding talks with all parties over the weekend and will make an announcement on Monday.

"Ironically, Harrison beat Peter in the amateurs and was considered the better talent when they went pro. Watch this space."

HUGE news. I bet he offerd it to David Haye first. I think harrison has a better shot. Niether of them are ranked!

I think they should give Billy Bessey a shot.

Skelton is tied up with a Euro shot isnt he so I guess Harrison will get the fight. A shame Haye had not gone with Warren now, he may have been getting this shot if it comes off.

    Peter why ?

Never saw what Peter ever did to warrant a title shot. He beat bums and then Toney. He should have been dq in the last tile fight for hitting behind the head.

AH + confidence will beat fat peter.

Would Harrison actually want a shot at Peter? I get the feeling AH was waiting for a feather-fisted champion so he could step in, win a title, retire and say I told you so. Skelton just had a title shot he didn't deserve and lost. Why should he get another one?

I think this is all from Warren to show Haye what he can do.

I reckon Arthurs first defense will be on the card, maybe Macceranelli and Rees making there comebacks.

Harrison was never good enough to beat any title holder.

He will be terrified if he steps in the ring with Peter. I see him getting clubbed and stopped.

Its only a matter of time before Vitali reclaims the WBC title anyway

Peter is **** and any half decent HW with a bit of confidence will destroy him. I am surprised Haye is not gunning for fatty as he will beat easily and have a legit belt.

Im pretty sure you have to be ranked contender to get a shot at the heavyweight championship of world...? :huh

Anyway Id pay to go watch it, not many WBC heavyweight tirle fights happen over here, though whatever Brit gets the shot he is guarenteed to get knocked out.

No, it doesn't. It shows that you just need the right promoter to get title chances you don't deserve.

Samuel would batter Audley very comfortably.. If Sprott can take him out, Sammy can, and fast..

No problem. If Warren wants Peter-Harrison, Harrison will soon be a ranked contender.

Only few of the challengers of Zsolt Erdei and Enzo Mac were ranked before they were chosen as opponents. But as the sanctiong bodies can't do without Kohl's or Warren's (or King's) money, they appeared - accurately timed - in the rankings.
