I agree. Considering they are looking at doing the fight at the O2 arena, how many tickets do you guys think will be sold for a potential Peter vs Harrison/Skelton fight?

peter has been given a lot of **** in this thread, i suspect mainly by people who have hardly seen him. i accept he is not stellar, but he uses what he has well, he cuts the ring off nicely, has faster hands than given credit for, hits pretty hard and has decent whiskers. he totally outboxed toney in their rematch (albiet a poor toney) and beat a pretty decent champ in maskeav.
i think he is fun to watch, one of the better heavys out there right now.

You must be watching a different boxer to some of us. I have seen him fight a few times and now do not bother as the guy is a plodder and cheat.

Doubt Peter has huge KO power, he's always slugging them to the back of the head before stopping them.

Yeah and Toney was robbed In the 1st fight bad.

Got put on his ass by McCline three times too!

I'm no Peter fan but...no Toney was not robbed it was very close.

And him being put on his ass three times by McCline was a huge shock to me. He took loads of big shots from Wlad, barely even flinching.

    Against Wlad?

I recall him taking a huge left hook and beng wobbled but other than that he took 12 rounds of thunding shots from Wlad with little effect.

    What are you talking about?

Mate, ive watched every single minute of every Wlad fight, trust me, Peter was gone. The left hook stunnned him and then the follow ups made Peter dance like a drunk ! Definitely more than a wobble !!

Regardless, Sam Peter, just like David Haye is a brutal beat-down ko waiting to happe. Unfortunately neither Harrison or Skelton will be capable enough to do it. Warren would be better of throwing Danny Williams in, he'd at least test Peters chin again.

Yeh i think Danny would sell more tickets. Danny at 230lbs would be able to take Peters pucnhes, and out box him.

Has it been decided yet whether it will be Audley?

I see on BoxRec that Matt Skelton is now scheduled to fight Sinan Samil Sam in Istanbul on July 4.

Warren said he would announce Peter's opponent early this week, but it's already Thursday and we still haven't heard.

That's "gone" in the Duke McKenzie sense I take it, since Peter finished the fight.

I thought this Skelton/Audley rumour had been debunked already? Or at least merely an option rather than a definite?
