Sam Peter vs. Joe Frazier

Finally, someone talking some sense here. While I would favor Frazier too, it is not at all out of the realm of possibility that Peter could beat him if he got his shot in. People need to remember that Peter would have significant height, weight and reach advantages.

Let's see how Peter does in his next few fights before we all start saying that every ATG blows him out in a few rounds.

 

I knew I would get knocked for putting my opinion out there, I just feel that Peter does have a chance against a fighter like Frazier, styles make fights.

Like I said before Frazier would probably win, but I wouldnt put all money on it because Im not that sure he would in fact win. Peter commonly does better than the smaller fighters, and 5'11 is as small as your going to get in the heavywieght division, he also a smaller built guy as well.

 

An even more interesting matchup and a fight I would have to think harder about is Frazier vs. Tua.

 

BIG GEORGE was out on his feet against RON LYLE ? Did that have any bearing on the fact that his style was all wrong for JOE ? And GEORGE was just as crude as PETER ! PETER is also much beter and stonger then a certain OSCAR which had JOE almost out and lost a disputed decision against ! :hi: You guys are to much ! JOE was a little slugger ! They dont normally fare well against BIG SLUGGERS !

I don't think a single person on the ESB comittee would rank him in the top 5 ATG's. I know I certainly wouldn't.

 

For a guy who gets his ass handed to him any time we argue you make some funny claims ! Now have the balls to make a statment against the status quo and pick PETER based on styles ! :deal

 

Maybe some would rank him in the top 5 heavyweights, but not many would either. All time, I have him in the top 50.

Wouldn't be interesting if the ESB comittee voted for their all time rankings in each weight class?
