If Arreola beats Adamek (which he probably will - Adamek is far more skilled but just too damn small), I'd love to see Peter smash his face in (and knock him out of contention once and for all) en route to his rematch with Wlad. Peter at least gets respect in showing that he can try to put the effort in in the gym - that, and at his best he's just a far more powerful and electrifying puncher (whereas Arreola is just a big moderately strong oaf whose "excitement value" is overstated).

He talks alot of **** because he can back it up.

Lets be fair here. The Klitschkos are not real heavyweights. They are super heavyweights.

You are expecting a guy who is easily 4 inches shorter and 35lbs lighter to put up or shut up against these guys in his first two years as a heavy. That is suicide. Hell it can be argued that Povetkin ducked the Klitschkos too and he's a career heavyweight.

It's just smart right now for the regular sized heavies to avoid them. Valuev is a walk in the park compared to the Klitschkos and even then he is difficult for a normal sized heavyweight to contend with.

Personally I would much rather Haye take these fights in no particular order.

    1. Povetkin
    2. Ruiz - just for the highlight reel KO.
    3. Peter
    4. Chambers
    5. Arreola
    6. Adamek

Realistically this is the way the heavyweight division *should* look. Not being dominated by guys who should be another weight class up. It would also force the guys on that list to actually get in shape and be exciting for once.

Agreed. Peter/Arreola would be an interesting scrap. I feel Peter would rough Arreola up, and get him out of there by the mid rounds hopefully, maybe as late as the 8th. Arreola's heart and toughness is pretty good, but his refusal to lose weight and his overall speed is less than good.

Exactly. Besides, if Travis Walker has him down in 2...

Walker has good power, but Peter's is definitely better (he's also a more seasoned finisher and unlike Travis will stick on Cris' ass even if it takes a couple of rounds after he first hurts him).

LOL imagine if Arreola beats Adamek and goes on to fight Peter and decides to come in in-shape at under 230 lbs. And Peter comes in under 235 lbs to make this the most shocking matchup in ages. In-shape Peter vs. in-shape Arreola. One can dream.

Maybe all it takes is an ass kicking from Vitali Klitschko to get people motivated to lose weight now.

You'd think a better time for that to kick in would be before you fought him, though.

So does that mean Kevin Johnson will shed 5 pounds prior to his next outing (seeing as Vitali landed at a significantly lower % in that "ass kicking" as he did against either Arreola or Peter)? :think

That's a tough one. :think. Since KJ avoided a real beating, maybe the motivation just won't be there.

Then again, I also think that if the scale had it's way, it wouldn't even be in attendance for Kevin Johnson's next fight.

So let me get this straight. This fight was for an IBF Heavyweight Title Eliminator. Peter won.

So now he could potentially challenge Povetkin for the IBF interim championship? Is there talk about this?

Peter - Povetkin should be one heck of an interesting fight should it happen. Would answer a lot of questions we have on both guys.

I always see Wlad's weaknesses. But I certainly don't miss his good points. Peter doesn't have the skill to beat Wlad. He would have to risk getting punched in the nose every time he wants pressure him.

Ypur right there. He certainly did in their first fight, when he took several punches to the forehead mostly. Wlad would probably beat Peter again, but to say Peter doesn't have a chance. I believe that's giving Wlad too much props. His chin is still weak and he can't take pressure. If Peter comes into the fight in-shape mentally and physically, I believe Wlad's toughness will finally be tested again. For better or worse.
