Don't be so sure....Golota's got the spirit of a Nigerian warrior.

Definitely, all he would have to do is blitz him in the first round, Golota will fall apart under the pressure.

Probably...but Peter still looked like garbage against McCline. Peter is decent, but he will NEVER rule the division.

Is this part of his crazy voodoo belief system? Because here in Western Civilization we don't eat other human beings - even if they are self-destructive underachievers. :nono

Btw, Sam Peter isn't 1/10th the boxer Golota is. And Golota isn't even great.

Golota is closer to Maskaev than he is McCline.

Don't think for a second that traditional 1-2 that Waldo couldn't hurt Sam with will work for Golota. And likewise, Sam is a different kind of beast all together compared to Golota.

I mean for all purposes, Mollo makes Sam look like Muhammad Ali. He had no jab, no lateral movement, just a swarming do or die mentality. And his power is very overrated.

Sam puts Golota to sleep or easily outboxes him to a UD.

Yea sure. He's gonna outbox the guy who dominated James Toney and closed McCline out after getting knocked down 3 times. Even Chris Byrd didn't do that.

Golota will get smoked. Sam has a helluva jab, something Mollo doesn't even know exists.

Truth, Peter would be a bad matchup for any version of Golota.

Peter. Still. Has. Not. Beaten. Maskaev.

    :deal

And even though I don't care much about Oleg, I am going to give him a standing ovation if he pulls out the win, because people on this board are going to eat more crow than the West Nile virus!

Most of these posters that hate Peter are Wlad nuthuggers who are still mad that Peter was the last fighter to pound glass chinned Wlad multiple times to the canvas.:yep

Speculation on both ends I'd say!

But more or less, Maskaev could only dream of being as big and fast as McCline. And that difference will be huge in the fight.

Golota is a bit faster. He's always had decent handspeed that's just gotten a bit slower as he got older.

Maskaev has always been a robot. And that's only gotten worse over the years. The only reason it didn't show up against Rahman is because Rahman is even more robotic.

Look. Peter might beat an inconsistent psycho like Golota. He might beat an old fighter who was at his best a B+ (being generous) in Maskaev. He might even get lucky (this is boxing, where anything can happen) and catch Wlad on his china chin in a rematch with the right punch at the right time. Hell, he could beat all three back-to-back-to-back. Wouldn't change the fact that he is a terrible fighter, with more flaws than upside, poor discipline, **** conditioning, and a little pea brain. He outboxed James Toney, yes. He did not out-skill James Toney. He used the tiny bit of skill he picked up in between their fights, and utilized his natural size and strength advantages, in conjunction with that tiny bit of skill, which were enough to beat a declining Toney. He is not a master boxer and never will be. He will never come in the ring looking svelte. He will never become mentally strong, as he is simply too stupid to change his mental game via confidence building the way someone like Wlad can (and has). He has flaws that will NEVER, ever go away.
