I know, but it Wlads last hard, competitve fight. Peter might not have the best technique, he somehow finds ways to either win his fights or at least make them close, plus he's one of the most exciting Heavyweights to watch today.:yep
He has **** technique. Two of his last wins that he managed, he managed barely and was damn lucky to walk away without an L (Toney 1 and McCline). He is not exciting, his style is ugly. And so is he.
Thats your opinion, I have talked to many Wlad nuthuggers, most say they hate Peter, but think his fights are exciting.
That`s true, Peter is the worst fight for Wlad, everybody else in the HW division is an easy night for Klitschko.
Not a Wlad nuthugger, but I do think he's more entertaining than Peter. Then again, I'm the kind of guy who can appreciate a Cory Spinks fight - I find slick boxing skill very exciting. I also appreciate a Mayorga fight though - so it isn't just a matter of preferring skill over crudeness. Crudeness can be exciting if it isn't ugly and plodding (Mayorga isn't, Peter is).
Truth: a pre-Bowe Golota would expose Peter 5X as much as McCline did. Can you imagine Peter being in the ring with Golota, in place of Bowe? ****, at 40 years old Golota still has more skill fighting with one good eye, than Peter will ever have. If Golota finds a way to get out of Peter's clubs in the first round (like he did against Mollo) he would win a wide UD, just like he did tonight.
To each is own, Wlad is somewhat exciting, but the jab and grab isnt, Wlads knockouts are. The whole Brock fight sucked until he droped that decapitating hook, the follow through on it was sick, he caught him with his forearm too.:yep
I like Golota, but someone with Peter`s chin and punch is always a bad matchup for Golota. A prime Golota would get himself dqed and this version of Golota is getting knocked out, he is just too slow and robotic and his jab is gone.
His jab was still there tonight, albeit not consistantly because Mollo kept giving him a blow-job. The current version of Golota is slow and robotic as you say but much more focused (and surprisingly has better stamina than before) and does not panic when hit. He is still vastly more skilled than Peter.
It's 2008, not 1996 anymore when Golota did have better overall skills than Peter. Then tell me everything Golota has better than Peter then, please dont say handspeed or power either.
I agree, Peter throws almost all looping punches, it's rare when he actually straightens them out. They both have a bad defense for the most part, so I guess there equal on that one.
I like IB, but that post was anything but objective. It's just like his feelings on Margarito. Completely biased and untrue. Sam Peter HAS changed dramatically considering the guy didn't have much of an AM career. How anyone can not state that as fact is beyond me. Unless they just choose not to be fair.
