hes a slow plodding HW. He couldnt ko a former mw so doesnt say much. he doesnt have that explosiveness.

Kobe is god- Like I told RUSKULL and a few other Peter haters, I will save you a seat on the Peter bandwaggon, because after Peter decapitates Maskaev, there will be no room left.

Isn't Maskaev almost 39 and a five-time KO victim? KO'ing Maskaev simply wouldn't impress me all that much, not as much as say Chagaev beating Ruiz, Virchis and Valuev.

:rofl i will never get on his badwagon. i dont like fighters who talk ****, make excuses for everything and use dirty tactics.

but i will give him credit if does win impressively, which will make him a legit contender to wlad

Any thing less than a Maskaev beating would be very surprising from Peter as I have stated before-still does not make him a good fighter.

The Peter fan boys really are something else. Sam hasn't KO'd a top-25 opponent, and Maskaev is a five-time KO victim, yet stopping a near 39 year old with a poor chin will prove he is the best heavy? I mean my god are they delusional.

Oh yeah, so you shouldnt like Wlad then, he made a million excuses why Brewster knocked him out the first time, and then when the test results came back negative of any illegal substance being the body, he apologized to Brewster and then fired his cut man for putting vasaline or something on his legs before the fight, and claimed that was the problem, then he said he said something about his blood sugar being low, sounds alot like excuses to me.:yep

true but he should earn some respect. it would make him a legit title holder. maskaev, like it or not is a top 5 guy and it would be a solid win for peter but it shouldn't be blown out of proportion such as "peter is the best hw" etc...

if he dominates and stops oleg, his argument for #2 hw is as good as anybody's but in no way does he become equal or surpass wlad. to do that, he must beat the man

i u watched the brewster rematch, he had put the loss behind him and gave lamon credit. it's over and done with. but peter and his stooges come up with a multitude of bull**** excuses even when he wins.

Given Wlad's most recent performance, I don't know how anyone could say Wlad would be BETTER/More exciting than having Peter as the undisputed heavyweight champion. Don't get me wrong, Wlad is clearly the most gifted heavyweight in the world, and he dominated his last time out; But I will be rooting for Peter here on out to capture some belts, then eventually(If not his next match, granted he wins)fight Wlad and hopefully redeem his loss.

Peter is everything that Wlad isn't. They are polar opposites. Wlad is a very calculated, offensive-minded machine, who relies on a constant jab and grab type of offense. It's clearly effective, and he is gifted. Noone can, or should argue that. Wlad has a weak chin, which results in him fighting saftey first, under Steward( Can't blame them ).

Peter doesn't have the boxing ability that Wlad has, but clearly is underrated. Peter has a solid chin, great power, agressive style, and comes to fight. Most importantly, he is EXCITING. Yes Peter gets hit more than Wlad, but he has the chin to take it, and will take a few to land one, which is always great for boxing. In the end, it's about entertainment, and I feel Peter would benefit the division much more so than Wlad EVER could.

I really don't think so, I think Chagaev has far and away the best argument for the number two spot.

chagaev has really hurt himself with the inactivity, illness or not. skelton was an awful opponent and no self-respecting title holder would have made such a fight. Then, he tries to fight Krasniqi. That's too much for me. I penalize guys for fighting weak opponents and holding the belt hostage. He doesn't dominate anyone and is a one-handed fighter. Sure, he can outpoint slow and low-skilled guys like Valuev, Virchis and Ruiz. But we haven't seen him against guys like Iggy, Peter, Povetkin or Wlad who offer more speed, movement and power. Very shaky title holder imo
