Wlad had Peter showcasing some of his dancing moves for a while in the last round with that left hook. I was disappointed we saw Holyfield on dancing with the stars instead.

You mean he hugged him to death. As well as comitted nearly every foul and illegal tactic in the ring short of punching Sam in the back.

A Scam Cheater fan complaining about fouling? Cry me a river, the first two knockdowns were off fouls, genius.

Just to reinforce what everyone is saying. PETER would not be better for the division. His chin has already been exposed. He has very primitive boxing skills. He has no personality outside the ring. He looks very sloppy in the ring, his punches are extremely inacuarrate.. basically wide swinging haymakers... He has no jab.. HE IS FAT... He is slow.. He is of low intelligence outside the ring, he doesn't really have any personality.... How is he good for boxing???

I first saw peter fight Jovo Pudar on showtime a few years ago... IT WAS THE MOST BORING FIGHT I'VE EVER SEEN.. anyone see that ****?? He couldn't even KO this guy...

Explain why he is good for boxing again??? He resume is week...

    Klitschko on the other hand..

His punches are a thing of beauty.. especially his right straight... Only Lewis threw it better than him.. His Jab is crazy.. You actually wait in anticipation for him to release his punches.. He is high European Class.. Never insulting his opponents... Even when they insult him.. (RJJ) He has beaten pretty much everyone.. And the thing I don't understand is, that people seemed to forget about all of his fights before Ibragimov!! The man has 44 KO's!!!!!! You can't let 1 Decision fight supercede that..

Peter's chin is not as great as his lovers would have everyone to believe. Peter counts on Don King to save him, as what happened in the McCline fight.

I think people just can't relate to Wlad. I like him a lot as a fighter but no one takes him seriously because he's a educated white dude that promotes humanitarian causes and works for charities. Most of my friends who are "casual" boxing fans would consider Peter to be a better fit as a champion because he is your typical big, lumbering, black dude who hits hard. I don't agree with that, but that's generally how people who aren't really in tune with boxing (especially presently) tend to view things.

What is the word on his chin? I know after the Klitschko fight everyone talked about how that thing was iron, but after the McCline fight people don't seem to think his beard is as good.

Nice try at a diversion Vitali jr.

Let's see if you recognize these rules on boxing.

    1. Never turn your back to your opponent.

    2. Never armlock your opponent or attempt to put your arm over his neck or back in an attempt to WRESTLE.

    3. Never lean on your opponent.

Now if you really do box, then you recognize the three do nots listed above are clear fouls in boxing. Fouls that Waldo committed every chance he got against Sam Peter.

94 clinches and constant molestation from Waldo throughout the first fight. And you have the audacity to call Sam names? :rofl Just tell me you are related to the Ukranian phonies and we'll settle for that.

Terry Norris lost his title with the same punch, a punch behind the head, to the base of the skull, the most illegal punch in boxing, which is Peter's best punch. The second so-called knockdown there was no punch landed at all. Anyone knows that. Peter did not look so good in the 12th round and Peter was easily outboxed, but Vlad will knock him out if they ever fight again. However, if Oleg does not do it first, then Vitali will. Peter looked drunk vs. McCline, needed his protector Don King to make sure he won a decision. Toney beat Peter in their first fight, Peter could not stop an old out of shape middleweight.

I don't get it why some fans don't like Peter. He could bring some much needed excitement to the division. I think he will win a few people over when he blows out glass-jawed Oleg in a round or two - and there is NO QUESTION that this would be a much better outcome for the HW division, and the sport of boxing.

Peter would have a decent chance to get revenge in a rematch with Wlad, but I would still make Klit the favorite.

First of all, Peter has been given everything on a silver platter and is protected by Don King and the WBC's Jose "The Bandit" Sulaiman. Toney was made no. 1 by fighting a fat out of shape middleweight James Toney. Peter was beaten by an out of shape McCline, yet Don King's judges gave the fight to Peter anyway. Don King did every thing to keep Vitali from fighting Maskaev, with millions to be won by Peter, just for waiting. King knew that Vitali would knock Peter out. Peter also fights dirty, landing illegal punches to the back of the head, what him throw those punches in Mexico, get away with in too. Peter is the most conceited boxer in boxing today. His technique is not so good. Looks at his opponents and then look at Vlad's. Valouev would easily beat Peter, so would Ibragimov, Chagaev, Povetkin. Dung King stinks.

Well, I don't like King any more than you do Farmy - he is a parasite of the worst kind, an exploiter of fighters. If he's got Peter under contract, Peter better have good people watching his back, otherwise he'll end up broke like Tyson and Witherspoon (and many others).

But King's manipulations aside, Peter winning WOULD be better for the sport. Peter brings the kind of excitement to the sport that the aging and mediocre Maskaev never could - and it sets up a rematch with Wlad that could settle the question of superiority that I would think that Klitschko fans would like to see.

Both as boxing fans, and as fans of Wlad, I really don't get why Klitschko's fans seem to want Peter to lose. It doesn't make much sense to me. In any event, imo, it's a moot point. Peter is gonna blow the shaky-chinned Maskaev out very early. And then Wlad-Peter II will be a HUGE fight and the logical next match to determine a true HW champion.

Now THAT's good for the sport!!:yep

    What is not to like?

He is crude, clumsy and has little skill. He does not train as hard as he should, and his supposedly dynamite power has failed to KO any of the classier operators he has faced.

I would however like him to beat Maskaev, who is a poor, inactive champion.

Samuel would make a great champ. and its ot out of the question that i wont happen. Peter can be exciting to watch and a little unpredictable.. a little like a Larry Holmes was, dropped a few times but almost always came through with that victory... Peter is colourful and shows a bit of personality when he wants to.. He would indeed be a great undisputed champ..
