Peter does seem to have raw power but the problem is he can't utilize it properly. The only way he can land a huge punch is with a looping wide shot. Those worked against C/D level opposition but not against top fighters.

Peter always looks for that emphatic finish and that can bring something into the Division even if he is the one to be kayoed. I just don't think he can do it because I have a sixth sense about this and the guy doesn't know what he's doing in there... The IBF eliminator was a clear example of that - how can you drop a guy 3 times and lose every other single round? There is a huge abyss between what one wants and what is likely to happen. Peter will lose in a huge upset but not now nor against Klitschko.

You do realize there's a diffewrence between a clinch and a hold, right? Even in the amateurs the difference is recognized, in a clinch the command break will be called, and if one is holding he'll be warned for a hold. Out of the whole list you just gave there, the worst of those two fouls is turning your back on your opponent. Never lean on your opponent? Are you kidding? That's one of the oldest tricks in the book-Lennox Lewis used it to great effect against many of his smaller opponents. And you're going to compare those to a hard foul such as a rabbit punch or Sam's own throwing? That's the pot calling the kettle black there.

Sam is NOT better for the division IMO.

He has so far failed to KO ANY TOP TIER fighter.

He hits hard but not accurate. Looping and telegraphed punches.

That´s not what I want to see.

The thing is Peter got stunned in the first Toney fight worse than after any straight rights that Wlad had landed on him. Then, in the McCline fight Peter got dropped 3 times. Did Wlad f*ck his chin up? That's the question.

It's a bit of a mixed feeling for me. I am a fan of Wlad. He is clearly skilled, moreso than anyone else in the heavyweight division, but Peter, in my opinion is more exciting to watch. I think the fact that he does get hit, plays into my thinking.

Don't get my wrong; I am a fan of boxing IE the sweet science, and appreciate Wlad's skills, and enjoy watching him altogether. It's just that Peter's ability to take a punch, many punches, to land one big shot is more appealing to watch for me (Especially, considering this is the heavyweight division).

You don't get as far in the sport as Peter has without knowing what you're doing. He knows how to fight. The problem is that he's limited.

The Wlad/Peter fight happend in Sept of 05, the Mccline/Peter fight was Oct of 07, thats 2 years inbetween the two fights, I think it's pretty stupid that people think Wlad messed up his chin, he got hit by a big Heavyweight with known early round power. Toney aint the biggest hitter, but when he catches you with solid shots your going to feel it, just ask iron chinned Holyfield.

I think we should ask equally idiotic question, did Peter break Wlads mental strength? He seems to be horrified by a punch even getting close to landing on his glass chin now.:think

Interesting to watch, I can understand...I can also appreciate good action even if the fighters doesn´t posess the highest level of skills.

But it´s a giant leap from that to saying they are better for the division, IMO.

But hey, everyone is entitled to think otherwise :good

Well, unlike Peter, Wlad has the skills to avoid being hit throughout an entire fight. Peter's best "defense", on the other hand, is his forehead
