That's fine, and I agree, Peters defense is not one of his strong points. I'm just sick of hearing, Wlad broke Peters chin, that's a load of bull****, especially since it happend over 2 years ago, and Peter was never knocked down by Wlad and was only knocked down by Mccline, never knocked out. People act like if a fighter goes down in a fight, he automatically has a bad chin, I just dont get it, everyone has a bad night, we all know Wlad has had a few.

What is so exciting about Peter? You mean it was so exciting to see if he would make it out of the McCline fight without getting KOed? You know there are other boxers who have KOed Jeremy Williams and Taurus Sykes. The first list includes the "all time great" Brian Nielsen and the second list includes the "greats" Owen Beck and Derek Bryant. Beck and Nielsen were even on those respective lists before Peter.
    :happy

Or maybe you refer to the indescribably extcing battle between Peter and on Robert Hawkins, that raged on for the full 12 rounds. Or do you mean the vastly exciting surprise when Peter got that gift decision against Toney in their first fight. How excting when you can´t tell which boxer won until they read the scorecards, no matter what the fight was like.
    :bbb

Or maybe you are talking about the excitement in the papers about Peter´s private life. The story about his uncles trying to shoot him and all. That´s James Bond action for you right there. I bet Borat would say "VERY EXCITE" in his most enthusiastic voice.
    :hi:

Peter tries to KO opponents because he´s a crude slugger with bad stamina.

So Peter comes to fight and go for the knockout !

Many fighters do...and many fighters fail to KO top tier opponents.

SP hasn´t Ko´d one single top fighter...and I think that is one reason why some ppl don´t think he would be better for this division.

    Last 5 fights:

    Peter: 5-0 (1 KO)
    Klitschko: 5-0 (4 KOs)

Level of opposition in the last 5 fights:

Peter: Robert Hawkins (23-10, been KOed by Maskaev and Virchis, current boxrec ranking #43), James Toney (69-5-3, never been KOed, current boxrec ranking #20), Julius Long (15-9, simply a big bum, current boxrec ranking #196), Jameel McCline (38-8-3, big and slow, good chin, current boxrec ranking #26)

Klitschko: Chris Byrd (40-4-1, former heavyweight champion, good chin, had been stopped only once before the second Klitschko fight, current boxrec ranking #54), Calvin Brock (31-2-0, was undefeated when faced Klitschko, current boxrec ranking #13), Ray Austin (24-4-4, current boxrec ranking #27), Lamon Brewster (33-4-0, Klitschko is the only man to ever knock him down, fomer heavyweight champion, current boxrec ranking #11), Sultan Ibragimov (22-1-1, was undefeatdd when faced Klitschko, good chin, never been KOed, current boxrec ranking #9).

Yeah, Peter would be better for the HW division as an undisputed champion... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Tries to win by KO.... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

    Are you guys kidding me?

Sam Peter went the distance in 5 of his last 6 fights.

Wladimir has went the distance twice, in the last 7 YEARS! And Wlad fought against MUCH better competition.

Wow, you guys have some seriously flawed logic.

After Wlad's last fight, it's not that outrageous a thought.

WHo do you think is more capable of repeating their last performance?

BTW,we can revise this idea after we see Peter tonight. He might stink up the joiunt, or win in brutal fashion like HW's are supposed to (for the fan factor).

Going with history, Sam Peter obviously goes the distance more than Wlad. As already stated... he has gone the distance 5 times in his last 6 fights. Wlad has gone the distance 2 times in the last 7 years. Matter of fact... Wlad has only gone the distance 6 times in his entire career spanning over 53 fights. Let's also throw in the fact that Peter has NEVER knocked out a top 15 opponent. Wlad has not only fought much better comp, but has knocked out SEVERAL top ten guys. So you tell me... who is more exciting? Peter has had MANY MANY fights where people were extremely bored and disappointed with his performance. However, I still find him a generally exciting fighter.

Tonights fight is almost assured to be an exciting fight. You have two guys who hit hard, fight styles that will lend themselves out to be hit, ect... that doesn't mean that he would be a better Champion. That just means that it is a better stylistic match-up than Wlad vs Sultan. However, Wlad doesn't only fight people who are good match-ups for him... he fights EVERYBODY. Can you imagine how bad Sultan would make Peter look with that style?

If Wlad continues to fight how he did against Oleg, then he'll deserve all the bad press he'll get. Like I said, that's IF. Nobody wants a gun shy giant who is capsable of blowing out fighters fighitng scared.

Peter doesn't have Wlad's skill, so he at least goes for it.

Peter doesn't always "go for it". He fights with his own style. Also, he has had plenty of fights were he sat back and refused to be aggressive. When fighters aren't aggressive with him, he tends to sit back as well. You can't give him more credit, just because he isn't as skilled as Wlad, and can't box as great as Wlad. If Peter COULD box like that, he wouldn't have to lead with his face.

Also, I think we would be a bit ignorant to pretend like Wlad could or would fight like that in every fight. Bad match-up, Wlad was completely dominant over him, but Sultan refused to engage himself, even though he was being tooled. We can't put all the blame on Wlad, who put up the only actual offense in the fight. Leaning down, and back with your head completely out of range, putting yourself completely out of range too... and then leaping forward with a couple haymakers ever couple of minutes isn't going to allow for a very exciting fight.
