The reach is going to be real problem for Sam. He can forget about the punches to the back of the head. With Vitali's height, reach and especially his 'lean-back' style Sam is not going to get the chance to land those kinds of shots, and that is to his detriment.

I remember when Lewis thought he could 'punk' Vitali as he did Michael Grant. Pretty soon, he was eating hard right hands and getting severely stung and realized he was in for a war.

Needless to say, Peter doesn't have Lewis' skill, height or reach. If he bull rushes Vitali and presses the fight foolishly, he could easily be KO'd within 2 rounds. He will likely land few shots but will get wailed upon in return. I wouldn't be surprised if Peter's strategy is to let Vitali tire himself out for a few rounds and then try to attack more in the second part of the fight.

Peter had a ruptured eardrum in the McCline fight and so what if peter wobbled him for the 2 seconds he did. NO HEAVYWEIGHT TODAY WOULD HAVE EATEN THOSE SHOTS AND NEVER GO DOWN EXCEPT MCCALL OR TONEY

Sam Peter has never been in the ring with a fighter like Vitali Klitschko and it will show in the fight.

Was his eardrum ruptured when Wlad shook him with that hook? That was like the first punch of the whole night that Little Klit actually sat down on. And if I remember right, Oleg had Sam feeling the pain as well in one of the early rounds.

I respect Sam's heart. He is a tough guy who will keep coming. That's a very good quality. However, as Rico said above this post, he has no idea what he's facing in Vitali. He probably thinks he's just an older Wlad. If he does believe that, he's in for a huge surprise.

As Lennox learned, you don't 'punk' Vitali. Wlad, you can sometimes do that with. Or, at least you could. Vitali likes when guys rush him. It makes him mad and he just wails on guys. If you look at some of his fights on YouTube you can see this happen in at least one other of his fights I can recall (don't remember the opponent). He was so ticked off he just kept taunting the guy as he beat him down, including, I think, after he stopped him.

Vitali is just a nasty dude, totally different than Wlad in this respect. Sam is going to learn that the hard way on Saturday.

I really really think you have lost your mind. McCline doesn't have huger power. He's hit people square before and they have not fallen.

Is Peter's eardrum on his chin?

Yep, I knew I remembered Oleg hurting Peter. Look at around the 1:08 mark here, Maskaev clips Sam with a left hook, I think:

Not sure what round that was.

Wlad, McCline, Oleg have all hurt Peter. And not with huge shots (well, Wlad's was huge).

You think a guy with a 92% KO percentage isn't going to find that chin, or temple?

    Come on.

The eardrum excuse isn't going to cut it, either. Even if you think it's legit for the McCline fight (and I don't), that doesn't cover Wlad and Oleg.

LOL Peter was stumbling all over the place. Maskaev and McCline suck at finishing. It's gonna be hilarious the first time Cheater gets hurt.

He's gonna find that chin a LOT more than Maskaev did.

Look at 1:29 when Peter repeatedly hits Maskaev behind the head and the nuthugger announcers say it's not his fauit.

Peter has been hurt by punches, just like 99% of other Heavyweights. Vitali was hurt by both Lewis and Sanders, and I honestly thought the knockdown in the Sanders fight should of counted against Vitali. What we do know is, both fighters are tough and have good solid chins, it should be one hell of fight.
