LOL! Suge, you're nothing if not reliable. :good

Maybe if Elder Klit gets a chin transplant with Oleg Sam can stop him.

Vitali was hurt by Lewis when? When was he hurt by Sanders? Yeah he was cut, but please that Sanders "fall down slip" was NOT a knockdown and everyone except you knows it.

Be honest, Vitali has never even been stunned by a punch as a pro boxer. If he has, prove it please.

Watching that Maskaev clip the height difference between Klitschko and Peter is comical. Good luck landing those looping clubbing punches. Peter's skill level is almost comical. If an old injured Maskaev could last 6 that is bad news for Peter.

Vitali was stung against Sanders -- who has one of the fastest and better left hooks you will ever see at HW -- and Lewis, that's true. Did he go down, like Sammy? Nope. Was he staggering all over the place, or doing the "Sammy Shake" we saw vs Wlad? Nope.

Vitali couldn't hardly see when Lewis threw his uppercuts. But Vitali still took them and never went down. Chin edge: Vitali.

Needless to say, when you have a 92% KO pecentage, it's not likely you ever go through a stretch of fights where you only score 2 KO's out of 7 fights, as has happend with Sam.

    KO producing edge: Vitali.

    Height: Vitali
Conditioning: Vitali (although age can be a factor)
    Reach: Vitali

The qualities people think Sam is so good in -- chin and power -- are not as good as people think. And particularly when facing a guy with the highest KO % ever at HW who has never once been down.

ViTKLiT hasn't been able to make it to Round 1 in over 4 years...wake up...

He is finished for good in the late rounds...

This will be like the comeback of Axel Schulz, all it took was Minto.

Peter is more than enough to send this stublebum into hiding...

Now Paul, notice how there is no sweat flying off of his head from this punch. Obviously it landed on the back of the shoulder or arm. Then Sammy fell backwards off balance. It never touched his head.

Scam fans only hope is that they feel that Vitali has lost everything since he fought last, and I guarantee you he has stayed sharp in his time off. He has been on and off training for a few years now when he thought he was fighting.

Axel Shultz was as good as Vitali when he retired? Laughable.

It's true. They have two chances: Old age and injury. It could happen, but I think the chances are pretty remote.

When Vitali blew his arm out against Byrd, I think he made it through 9 rounds or so, at least. This fight probably isn't going that long.

Vitali's never been cut like he was against Lennox at any other time in his career. This isn't Gatti we're talking about. Could that happen again, another bad cut? Yeah, it could. And I could get hit by lighting while I type this, too.

Sam's chin seems to be getting worse. Some people think Wlad 'cracked' Peter's chin, and there's no going back.

I think Sam's in a lot of trouble come Saturday night.

Thats a very fair and accurate post, though as you pointed out on the conditioning part, it's a question mark at best, and while I agree Vitali has advanteges, he also has disadvantages going in, inactivity, age, one punch knockout abilty, just to name a few.

I think the fight is the most interesting matchup since Lewis/Vitali 5+ years ago, a Vitali win would make history, but would also confuse more people on who's the best in the division, and if it's a blowout, would make the vision less clear for fight fans and part time fans alike.

This is interesting but Sam Peter in his prime can't touch Lewis at the end of his career. No comparison whatsoever.

Peter wouldn't have made it 2-3 rounds with Lewis.

Good post, Punisher. Thanks for the kind words. It's going to be an interesting Saturday, and we get the Dawson/Tarver fight as well!

    I can't wait.

    Knockdown #1.

Notice how Sammy's feet are both under him when hit. Clearly this was a balance shot. Anyone who knows boxing knows that when you get hit from this position you fall down. I don't care who you are.

    Knockdown #2.

Quite possibly one of the hardest right hands I've ever seen land. McCline, at 260lbs, got full extension on this shot and all of his weight behind it. And the punch landed square on Sammy's head. This was after Sammy was hurt by a flush uppercut. Again, McCline had all of his weight behind it. Look at his form here. It was a perfect right hand.

NO heavyweight in history would have been standing after that uppercut and this right hand. So don't kid yourselves.

    Knockdown #3

After 3 consecutive right hands Sammy goes down. Obviously he was already wobbly and did not adjust his stance for McCline in rotation. All three were legitimate knockdowns but #2 would have knocked anyone down. And would have knocked most out for a week.
