I remember in Peter's early career, he was smaller, more agile and seemed quite capable of punching straight more often than not....WTF happened over time...who knows ?

The quadruple rabbit punch- that is why no one can understand James Toney any more. It is that devastating!

But I don't think Vitali is too worried about that. He is not like his brother. And I expect Vitali to give Peter a brutal beat down, from the outside using his height and reach. Where as Vladimir just wanted to jab in hold. Vitali will pick Peter apart with power punches.

Toney took Peters trash hits quite well...wlad just seemed to have a balance problem, he looked unbalanced when he got those behind the head hits...If Vitali is even 75% of what he once was...he should win handly:hey

Perhaps if his opponents would stop bear-hugging him to avoid actually fighting him, he wouldn't have to resort to such? :yep

Is Sam limited?... yes. Does he have the most skills in the HW ranks?... far from it. Is he exciting and good for an otherwise yawner of a weight class?... YOU BETCHA.

 Funny, but I think Peter had rung Toney's bell there (prior to the machine gun rabbit punch). Peter landed an uppercut a few seconds prior that seemed to stun James. As you can see in the GIF, Toney was anxious to clinch.

Yeah, Vladimir constantly holding made the fight much harder then it had to be. Vitali don't hold. Vitali keeps his distance and picks fighters apart. I think Vitali's style is a nightmare for Peter.

I noticed that during the Toney fight, first fight I think. Everyone in the room burst out laughing. I had never seen anything like that before. Peter's power and speed has to be reckoned with. You cannot go into a fight with him thinking lightly. But, when a good focused fighter (taller than him for sure) gets in the ring with him, its rather easy to beat Peter.

I love how the ref sticks his arm out and blocks one of the really wide rabbit punches from hitting Toney behind the head.

The ref could of gave Peter an O Goshi.
