I read somewhere that he had Mccline and Julius Long for sparring. I really hope that he is in great shape. I have no idea why he is so heavy. Let's hope that he is in good enough shape to keep pressure on Vitali. When you took the guys into camps with them before did Sam ever box Vitali or just Vlad?

Just Wladimir.. But he has been around both , i know they crossed wires in the e didn't do that well in Top rank with Wlad before the Shufford fight , and neither did Teke.. But you gotta remember Sammy had only had 4 pro fights then and still never got shook once.. where as on day 2 Tony Tubbs got knocked over .. very heavily. Teke was no use at all.....neither was jakarta.. LOL.. or Derrick Banks.... God bless.. BTW did u see Friday v Alonzo Butler .. we had a great team that night..

Peter is 57 and Hopkins is 25. (that was ment to be a joke)
I don't realy see how it makes one bit of diffrence on how peter preformes rather he is his official age or older. He is the same boxer regaurdless.

Peter travels around the world a lot right ?

So he has to show his passport a lot right ?

Also he has to do visa's to get into countries etc....

Therefore if his age was fake there would of been **** loads of proof out there now, the man is obviously 28 :patsch

Yeah, I did. Friday is going on a lil' late career tear here. I was in Vegas recently and spoke to Luis. My wife and I hung out with he and Layla alot while we were there. He seemed a little worse for wear that Friday had moved on. The truth is that Friday needs a little money behind him. Some of the fights that he took with these good fighters were just ill advised to some degree because he was not prepared. I can remember trying to give him some work from a southpaw stance when he fought Ibragimov. I was still fighting in the smokers at the ammie tournaments. I think I had 3 fights at the time and they were little more than toughman fights with 2 minute rounds.I was still learning the basics in an orthodox stance. That type of thing was going on during several fights at the time when there was no sparring available. I felt bad for him. Most of the guys on here don't know just how talented he is. I'm hoping that a big fight will come through for him and he will get the type of preparation that the big names he fights get.

It would have been quite easy to get fake docuemntation to get passports etc before he went to the Olympics. The fact that you don't know this makes me want to :patsch

I guess Danny Almante did'nt need prrof of age or a passport either?

Toney wasn't stiff that night, but more so flat....... Toney was on some "Blanks" diet, but managed to weigh-in at 234 porky-pig pounds..... Peter looked much better the second time around; Toney did NOT!

It wasn't Blanks' fault. He just gets the blame.

Toney's level of dedication to his conditioning at the time was 0.

...and you'll have a tough time finding a bigger Toney fan.

i agere with peter but i could of sworn they was talking bout his arms being stiff but i do remember the flat part after you mention it. i havent seen the fight since it happen to be completely honest. so i could been wrong. to me toney had more muscle in his arms chest and neck but for that stomach thats naturally toney now. but i do remember them talknig bout being a pound heavier with using blanks. for me i need to start chcking more up on past fights.

It wouldn't make much sense for Sam Peter to claim to be younger than he is. What advantage would that serve? Besides that... if you followed his amateur career, and early pro career... you can see how young he was at that point, and how his body matured naturally.
