A majority of boxers make the mistake of not planning for the end of their career. Alot of them have nothing but boxing, so whats after that? Some commentate, some promote, some open their own gyms, but most blow their cash, not thinking past the next payday.
Shannon did it, Sams done it, Briggs did it, to name a few. Thats why some of them keep fighting way past their prime, and are chewed up and spat out. They are names that have and could have made a small fortune. But your average banger doesnt have much hope of anything except a 9 to 5 once their done.
Sad really, i think all fighters deserve money, some are greedier than others, but i think the industry makes them that way. The only ones that have made money domestically that can retire in comfort are the 2 obvious ones and a handfull of others.

two wrongs dont make a right. Im not a Mundine fan, not to sure how many times ive got to write that before it sinks into your thick skull. I bet you would have also liked it if Lester Ellis initated the rematch clause so we all had to watch that crap again, as long as someone is making a buck its all good hey champ lol

The IBF has Soliman ranked at number two. If Geale is lucky enough to win this weekend Sam is in the box seat to fight an eliminator or maybe even a title shot. I don't think he would knock back that opportunity because you don't think he deserves it.
Bringing up lester's name is a dumb analogy, he was shot and had been 6 years out of the game.
Soliman's latest opponent, Lorenzo, has been the distance in title fights with N'Jikam, Sturm and Sylvester in recent years and has never been stopped. Soliman had him down in the 12th round.
A very credible win for Sam.
If anybody has been overselling themselves around here it's you, you Gronk and nobody is buying it. :hi::lol:

There is one reason that the Geale-Soliman fight wont happen.

fast mouth.. Geale has been ranked highly in the IBF for yrs, im not alone in my opinon that he has had his fair share of title shots and dont deserve another one, Fighting Soliman does nothing for Geale or boxing, just because he plays the ratings game dont mean jack sht, why isnt he ranked in the WBA or WBC if he is so **** hot? can you answer this question?

Just a quick one...what would have a rematch done with regards to Soliman and Nader?

Rematching Nader wouldnt have done anything for Sammy's career at the time.....the only thing for Nader was to restore some pride.

What did rematching Mundine a 3rd time do for him m8? other than put more money in sams wallett

He gave Nader his word and couldnt keep it, i dont really respect that as much as i dislike nader.

Yes and Soliman took it up for another pay day and the chance to avenge a loss. Anyone would think he's a professional boxer FFS trying to earn as much money for him and his family as he can.:patsch
