Is this televised at all? It's probably worth a showing, seeing as there's a tangible prize on the line. Who gets through to the Real Deal? (or possibly Sturm...) In the past four years, Soliman has remained unbeaten while Lorenzo has faced the much better opposition - but been soundly thwarted every time. Since summer of '08 when he lost to Choc, Soliman is 6-0 (4) while Lorenzo is 5-4 (5). Albert and Wood have to be looked at as better scalps than any of Lorenzo's, with the best there being Dionisio Miranda.
Well, the other end of the spectrum (a Sturm vs. Lorenzo rematch) is an equally unattractive world title bout. :yep Sturm vs. Soliman seems the least likely outcome. Geale vs. Lorenzo as mando, which I may be leaning toward as most plausible (what with Giovanni having several years, several inches of height, and several inches of reach on old Sam and having mixed with higher class and been vaguely competitive), is also the nicest mash-up of styles we could get out of the next couple of weeks.
Well it's on Friday and Friday night fights are on 7.30-9.30 so I say that should be it. FOX Sports 2.
Soliman vs Lorenzo is not televised Live on FOX Sports or TV in Australia. Best bet would be getting a DVD of the show in the next few weeks.
Not LIVE Aussie boxing as far as im aware. They may surprise us, but highly doubt it. They announced the next FOX card was Sept 7th with Haumono vs Egobi as the main bout.
FOX Sports only want Aussie vs Aussie matchups and put up little money for their cards which most promoters in Australia cant be bothered with the hassles should there be pull outs as FOX wont accept Asians for their main bouts
Sam wins. I will not fight Sam though, too dangerous a prospect... not sure I could win. I am looking at Lorenzo. If I lose against Sturm I will look at a bout with either Woods or Dawson in Hobart
