It sounds like Soliman is frustrating the hell out of Lorenzo with tricky defense and countering well. Folks tweeting from ringside have him up by a range of 6-2, 7-1 through the eighth...

    Official result:

    Soliman UD12 Lorenzo, scores of 117-110, 118-108, 118-109

Apparently he was landing more and more on Lorenzo as the rounds progressed (while barely getting touched himself, using unorthodox movement) and by the end had him dazed and hurt, scoring two knockdowns in the twelfth.

The knockdowns weren't a relevant factor, however, as even subtracting them you're left with scores of 117-112, 118-110, and 118-111.

    Thanks, IB.

Soliman's a tough fight for anyone.

Shame more Aussies don't get behind him.

I'm honestly quite a bit surprised/impressed at the result.

It seemed likely to be a grind-out type affair, with SS probably getting the nod...but to hear he dominated, was virtually untouchable (especially at his age to be that elusive...and against a guy who managed to rock the very athletic Hassan N'Dam N'Jikam) and even hurt the usually sturdy Lorenzo and nearly stopped him but for running out of time..wow.

Two Aussies battling for a world title is damn plausible...

    All up to DTRDG now.

Hi guys, If I beat Sturm (Highly unlikely he is a class above me) I will vacating my title rather than face Sam.
Come and watch me rematch Kariuki in December in Tassie, followed by rematching Dawson in March.

    Stay positive team

    Stay positive friend,
That will be two fights in Australia that you can come and watch in the near future.
Thanks for the support, I would be more than happy for you to come to my local sparring so that I can sign something for you if that is an issue, or if you would like me to help you with your poor grammar and sentence structure. (May be due to you being a knights fan (avatar), everyone knows the quality fans support the tigers.... and that's the real deal)

    Stay positive.

One of his best performances no doubt, he had Sam all worked out and was pretty much walking through sams punches, when Sam initated the rematch clause (to cash in for more money) Mundine carried him as alot of people didnt see the point in a rematch but i guess if it makes cents then it makes mundine more dollars. :hey
