If this is true,I wonder how much Taylor has left.

If he has anything left I wouldn't be shocked if he beat Soliman

Jermain Taylor!?, wow Jermain last made 160 in 2007. If so it would be amazing if he manages to win a title again.

It was 160.5, which is Super Middleweight.

    Oh come on!

Im sure if it was a title fight, he could have sweated the 0.5lbs...or taken off his socks.

It wasn't and he didn't need to sweat off the 0.5lbs which still means it was a Super Middleweight fight.

Whatever man. Its clear he had no problems making 160. Thats the issue.

His fightss icne have been no higher than 162.

He'll have no problem making 160, and I think he can still pick up a strap against Soliman.

It still won't be healthy. The first time he weighed anywhere close to Middleweight was 160.5(which I repeat again is Super Middleweight) and that was his first time since 2007. He was knocked down in that fight and barely looked good. I will honestly be shocked if he makes Middleweight for the first time in seven years and manages to beat even the limited but gutsy Soliman.

So, that calling out Golovkin before the Geale fight ends up to be nothing but talk from Soliman.
Maybe he even meant it before, but changed his mind after he saw what happened to his countryman.

Caleb Truax is now considered a borderline top 10 MW and was unbeaten at the time. He got knocked but he won the fight easily.

Considering hes been fighting in non title fights where he can weigh whatever he wants and still weighing no more than 162/163 shows that 160 is just fine and healthy for him.

His last fight, he weighed 162.75, which is what is what Id expect any other 160 lbs fighter to weigh when they didnt have to weigh 160.

If this fight gets made, Ill be backing Taylor.

Truax is definitely a good win for a clearly past it Taylor but in general he's not a top notch opponent. Didn't he a have a draw with a journeyman who literally took the fight on short notice?. How is he a top 10 Middleweight when his last two fights have been at Super Middleweight?.

The other fighters didn't weigh in above 160 because that's where they feel comfortable at. Didn't Pacquiao weigh in at 144 when he could have weighed above that for his Light Middleweight(150lbs Catchweight) fight with Concreto?.

I'll be backing Taylor all the way as I have been since I've started supporting him during the 2000 Sydney Olympics. However, I'll be extremely worried and for logical reasons. It's rarely(if ever) a good/healthy sign for a fighter to be a Super Middleweight for seven years only to move down to Middleweight all of a sudden. Trust me, I'll be beyond happy if he makes it and finally wins a title again. The last time Taylor has been champion was also in 2007.
