very interesting prospective bout........ if it was a boxing bout sam wins ...... i think sams best fights are well past him but he is still very active and compeditive..... if this was a kick boxing or Muay Thai bout parr wins and win convincerly..... for the same reason as sam does as JWP is very active.....and very much compeditive ... plus i feel JWP is a real talent in the kick , muay thai arena.not too many with his talent..... never the less this is a bout most of us would watch and suport as its too genuine warriors going for it .. NOT A MONEY GENERATED BOUT. i hope it comes of for it should be a great spectical.......
I've heard JWP had his fair share of controversial results in the boxing ring including that one which prompted him to return to MT.
He had a few more after that. The Bika fight was not controversial, he was dominated by the bigger man who had better ring generalship. He barely won a round in that fight. The Mcleod fight I didnt see but the reports I read at the time said the Ian just outboxed him with his jab. I could definitely see that happening because Braveheart had the kind of chin that would let him stick to his gameplan and was a very cagey fighter with a difficult style to contend with.
I have seen the Mcleod fight and that is the fight that put JWP off boxing. Think a smaller version of Ruiz - that's how McLeod won that fight.
great aussie match up,iv always liked both guys as kickboxers, and im goin for JWP all the way! maybe Parr wants a shot at Mundine . . . . . . .
