sam should jump back in the deep end soon again before it is too late. don't know how much he has left, but if he does have one big fight left in him he should be ready soon don't u think?
would be a top fight yeah. probably one of the best possible bouts in oz. it would be the sort of test that solomon needs. and even if sam lost a close decision, he could still find good fights afterwards.
I wouldn't mind seeing him and Shannon Taylor, i still ama amzed at the shape Taylor was in last time, the size of his shoulders and back and ripped.
Reckon Geale might have him covered ATM. But definitely the type of bout Aussie boxing is crying out for.
sam is fighting on the 23rd next month against pradeep from the contender i think sam will fix him up with not too much trouble, i have heard rumblings about peter manfredo defending his ibo title against sam too later in the year.
IMO Sam should hang em up. Pradeep showed a lot of potential a few years back as a young kid coming on the scene but has since been in and out of the fight game and from what I have heard back and forth from India. I realy thought when I first seen Singh that he would make a good go of it but has yet to show his full potential. Still only young he has a lot to learn and a fight with Sammy boy win or lose would be a good learning curb for him. This kid needs to fight more often if he wants to stay in the fight game. Fighting once every 6-10 mths is no way for a young bloke to learn the ropes if you want to go further then just being an national fighter.
think whatever you like about sam - it takes a very good fighter to beat him. he'll beat Singh and the manfredo fight will happen. sam has a couple of sponsors (i think may they're new to him) and are going to provide the backing for him to have another crack. if manfredo will fight him - sam's awkward style makes him unpopular with opponents trainers match making wise - he'll beat him. and with the IBO belt maybe he could go the mundine/green route and hype up some fights here in oz against some name easy beats
geale seems to have moved north to 168. i'm betting he was struggling to make weight but also saw the depth at 68 coming out of the super 6 tourney. love to see Geale V Froch
This content is protected It was a great honour, (for Sam), to finally meet me. He likes this photo as its one of the few where he has the most hair.
