Webb is circling left, landing the 1-2 nicely while disallowing Hall's rush-ins. Hall is still trying to submerge and cruise inside, moving at knots while Webb is at MPH. Hall is missing his body shots now, and landing softly when he does get a nick in. Webb is boxing beautifully on the outside, landing counter jabs and rights and staying off the ropes altogether.

Webb continues his boxing from the outside, pushing out a steady flow of jabs but tiring just a little and losing some snap. Hall moves in, ever determined. Body taps by Hall. BIG right hand by Hall, and Webb was stunned. Webb moves back to the ropes, covering up and shut down offensively. Hall rips the body and hammers up top. Webb boxes off the ropes and lands some jabs to the head and hooks to the body. Hall stays on him and chops away up close.

Worst he's been hurt...

 

Pro-Webb bias is really shining through tonight in the commentary. Discounting everything Hall is doing and talking up every Webb counter.

 

Round 9

Hall presses in and hooks over the top at Webb. Some flurries score for Webb on the back foot as he is beelined into the ropes. Hall is hooking away with both hands, climbing up from body to head and then down again. Webb is caught by a big right to the face.

"Have to give the rounds to the lad who looks in control, and that's Webb..."

They're really overselling his supposed ring generalship.

Hall is pulverizing the body, and Webb's counters aren't outweighing that.


...and are we really to believe that Webb wants to be pounded on the ropes this often? This isn't a James Toney or Floyd Mayweather we're talking about, here.. :roll:
