Bradley Saunders vs. Danny Dontchev, 6 rounds @ light welterweight

 

Round 1

Saunders is pushing in on Dontchev with jabs and rights, not much coming back. Right hand knockdown. Dontchev bounces up, but is immediately put back down with a big left hook as Saunders springs up off bent knees at him. Up again. Saunders chases after him, going a bit wild with haymakers looking for the finish as Dontchev ducks in against him. Dontchev is smacked back to the ropes with a double hook while covering up. Saunders pokes out some jabs and tries to cut Dontchev off as he looks to circle off the ropes. A few body shots by Saunders. Dontchev keeps running around in circles with his gloves up. Target practice for Saunders. Clinch. Dontchev dives in and taps Saunders on the hip with a weak left. More grabbing and holding.

Saunders wins by TKO as the corner withdraws Dontchev from the competition..

 

Dontchev had his eardrum perforated. Probably by the hook that scored the 2nd knockdown.
