Hailing from Lille in the north of France (via Yaoundé, Cameroon) this sculpted brick house is rocking an 11-0 (9) record and is just 28 years old, making him a viable candidate in both of the divisions he straddles as something of a floater: red-hot-and-still-heating-up cruiser and desperately-in-need-of-new-blood heavy.

He started off, for three years straight, facing a litany of record-padding tomato cans from mostly the usual suspect nations that seem to export a disproportionate number of walking punching bags for the benefit of those European countries with a stronger presence in the sport: Croats, Georgians, and Latvians - oh my! (with a smattering of Portuguese and Bosnian for good measure, both very obscure contributors to our sport). Then in March of this year took a huge, abrupt leap up in class this past March - battling the more experienced* Greek super heavy Evgenios "Achilles" Lazaridis in his adoptive home of Germany for the vacant Bund Deutscher Berufsboxer (German Commission) International HW title. Lazaridis had previously gone ten rounds and lost a very tight (one-point) contest to Erkan Teper in his only previous loss in a sanctioned professional boxing match. Kadjé survived an early storm & pounded out a gassing Achilles inside half that distance.

(*with a similar pro record but an expansive background in semipro boxing including the Bigger Is Better tourney, which enjoyed a morbidly fascinated cult following during its multi-year run on EuroSport but now appears to be defunct, and which is where Mairis Briedis also cut his teeth)

His next assignment this coming Saturday, for the vacant Belgian cruiserweight title, would appear to be a major step backwards. Scratching beneath the surface of his opponent's 8-1 (7) record, we find that László Pénzes is a 39 year old Hungarian (with the Pearl of the Danube boasting perhaps a worse overall reputation than Croatia, Georgia, and Latvia combined) - so don't be surprised to see Kadjé only clocked in for a couple of minutes' worth of work. Hopefully in the second half of 2018 he can resume the momentum his defeat of Lazaridis afforded him and build from there.

He actually was acomplished amateur on some level...He has won great number of tournaments....
He needs time to beef up his record and get that pro experience but he is a good fighter nevertheless.
