August 1st at Matchroom Fight Camp in Brentwood, headlining a card airing on SKY in the UK and DAZN abroad. IBF light welterweight International title at stake, Eggington's first defense.

Got your egg, your cheese - fight's a whole goddamn omelette! :ibutt

Seriously though, should be good. :ggg

Both guys defence is linked to their faces, which should mean its a fun fight
Ill go Cheeseman but only as i really think Egginton is absolutely 1 solid punch away from being punch drunk

I'd say that's more true of Eggington (although he does get by well enough with the combination of high guard and voluminous offense-as-defense), as Cheeseman showed another wrinkle against Fitzgerald.

I believe Cheeseman wins this comfortably.

I think Eggington gets hit far too easily and can only fight one way, he is also very one paced and has been overwhelmed with workrate and speed. His chin isn't granite, Paulie Malignaggi had him in trouble before he turned that around.

Cheeseman can change up his style somewhat, he can actually box, he was an ABA senior champion, so it's always surprised me that he turned professional and then went to this face first, steam forward type style but he as shown in the odd fight he can box.

I expect Cheeseman to box and move his way through the first couple of rounds and then continue to turn up the pace and heat each round and get a middle round stoppage.

I think it might be one of those where Eggington is taking too much and the ref steps in waves it off.

The fight I'm looking forward to most on this Bill is Jordan Gill Vs Reece Bellotti.

Bellotti is a 11/4 underdog but apparently he is looking excellent in training, I know somebody who has had a decent sized bet on him.

Gassed to see Cheeseman out there doing his thing again.

He's gonna have to box, like he did against Fitzgerald. Eggington is no joke hits a lot harder than it looks for the Boxrec warriors, his body shots are killer and he's got a nice straight right.

I think Ted has proved that he's got all the tools to get through this one though.

Let's hope for a fair decision from the judges this time.

For sure, that run of stoppages against Funtime, Malignaggi and then highly-regarded Ferino V show that his 'mere' 50% rate is deceptive. I always considered him a late-bloomer whose power didn't emerge until mid-career, like Hasegawa or Selby.

That said, I've seen nothing to suggest that Cheeseman has a chin vulnerable to whetstone-grinding from a heavy-handed but not thunderous-hitting opponent.

Their styles should come together and mesh like ham and cheese.:sisi1 I can't wait for this fight. I'm a huge fan of both guys, in spite of their various shortcomings. If Cheeseman reverts back to his face first brawling style, he gets melted, but if he's goes the smooth and creamy route that he took against Fitzgerald, he schools and completely scrambles Sam and if he really sits down on his shots late, he could possibly leave him lying in a goopy poached mess. That was terrible.:D

Vegans will be hoping for a draw. Hate to add to the cheesy jokes, but I think Ted cracks the egg.

Oh man, what a fight. I'm drooling for this one. They are both edge-of-seat fun to watch and I like both, but I really like the Cheese DAWG, that's my dude. I actually think it goes to the cards - and I hope they are fair - but I could also see Cheeseman plank Eggington, who didn't even go over 1 page of the "defense for beginners" manual.

It should be watched while eating an Egg & Cheese sandwitch hahahaha. But in all seriousness I don't think I can choose between an Egg or Cheese.

I mean there's so many ways to cook an Egg, do you hard boil it or do you scramble it up and toss it around on a frying pan? But there's so many kinds of cheese and you could melt it in a sandwich. Are we talking a hard boiled egg vs like a cold piece of muenster cheese? What about Swiss cheese vs an egg cooked over easy? This fight could end up like a scrambled egg and melted cheese sandwich!

I have a lot of admiration for Eggington and I always root for him. Both these guys have good stories going on and I hope Cheeseman is really sorting himself out and getting his life back on track. I like success stories but what I love are the stories of people who really struggled, came back from the gutter and went on to succeed, that speaks to me, I can relate to that and I hope this is the entertaining fight that it promises to be and both of them come out of it well.

    Heart - Eggington
    Head - Cheeseman
