...according to boxrec...(yea i know) hes supposedly fighting him: http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=36812&cat=boxer this fight is on the Pavlik undercard.... dunno if it will be televised or not, probably not.
I want to see arreola vs peter....the winner becomes the official gatekeeper along with valuev in the heavyweight division...
Good to see he is taking on a real world beater. In real heavyweight news, Kubrat Pulev is taking on Oleg Platov in his fifth fight.
Honestly, that's not a bad card (korobov, Martirosan, Peter, and the pride of Euclid High, Willie Nelson (if it's who I'm pretty sure it is) ... Might have to go to Y-town that night.
This should be Peters last recovery fight.... he needs to recover from that ass whoopin he got from Vitali. After this, a Brian Minto, Fres Oquendo, or Zuri Lawrence type opponent and than straight back for the big boys! I like Peter, i just didnt like Peter under that scumbag Don King. Peter so far is doing the right thing. the guy is still only 28 years old....
i will have to dig up my old post about in response to someone who made a thread about all the great potential match ups in the heavyweight division...main points was that most dont fight but 1 or 2 times a year and when they do, its wasted on a fight like this....oh yeah, see mascaevs last few opponents....shannon briggs, same thing...lycovich.....they sit around forever and fight guys like this...the top heavyweights are pretty weak, so 20-30 below that is just laughable
true, but Briggs, Maskaev and Lyacovich are all washed up fighters... whilst Peter, this will be his 4th fight this year. Maskaev is 40, Shannon is pushing 40, and Lyakovich is pretty much ruined. Peter is still a 28 year old who has much more time on his hands than these guys, and hes staying busy...not like the rest. Its not much Peters fault he lost to Chambers, he could of KO'd Chambers, its just that his management, trainers, and promoter King down sided him. Peter needs a fight like this to boost that confident back up and lose them pounds. Peter will still be a top 10 contender in the HW division..........
yeah true....i would think those guys would be gunning for a guy like peter...but way too dangerous...good point about peter...didnt know it was his 4th fight this year...prob most by any heavyweight with 20 wins or more
I don't feel this is really good for Sam. Looks good on the record as far as the numbers but just gets him accustomed to nobodies.
