Damn, between the boxers getting caught cheating and the injuries, there's been so many fights cancelled this year.

Sam wouldn't be much more than a journeyman at this point. I doubt he could get himself in line for another big payday. He'd need to beat a series of decent contenders and that's unlikely IMO.

Peter is done. He was a beast in his prime. The Klitschkos ruined him and took his soul.

I remember seeing him beat Dale Crowe in 2003 on tv. His power was obviously there, and he was strong as a bull. He just needed to add some technique to his arsenal. He never did. He always looked for that one big punch to land, and would walk right in. I don't see him learning now, after he couldn't all these years.

Even the power was overrated by knocking out the glass-est of glass jaws Jeremy Williams, and by putting Wlad on the canvas when Wladdy used to like to imitate a basketball.

They did have weak chins, I agree, but he had power. Maybe not greatest power, but he could bang. His problem was amateur way he fought, he would, at times, walk in with left arm slightly extended, right hand cocked back. If he ever learned how to work way in he would have had lot more success.

I think another impediment was his stamina.

Even the best sometimes need a few rounds to find the right punch. Peter never had a few rounds.

Peter was never a beast. He beat chumps, and bums because the division was poor.

Peter should never fight again. There is no point in taking more beatings only to receive a few smaller paychecks. Good, strong heavyweight in his day, but he's finished.
