How's the Nigerian, big puncher do when faced with the Beast From the East?
Both from the same Era, how would it ended?

50-50 maybe. Peter is more crude but Valuev has the size and a technical edge. Not really sure on this one.

A good match up. I think Peter with his power, and jab would win on points.

Peter, while not a great technical boxer, is still far better than Valuev, all you needed was to be able to counter his slow punches which I'm sure Peter could do, he would be blocking Valuev's slow right and countering with his left hook and right over the top and using his jab to bait Valuev in and make him pay just like any good fight

    Toss-up.

Nicolay Valuev was one of those guys who always kept it even keel. He always gave an honest effort. He overcame a lot of nagging injuries, especially toward the end of his career, and always tried his best. He never got too high or too low. No really big nights, but never a truly bad blowout loss-type showing, either. Just sort of a hard worker consistently over 12 tedious rounds.

Sam Peter ... there was a lot of "dog" in him. He looked like he was going to take over the division when he knocked out Jeremy Williams, then you remembered it was just Jeremy Williams. Then he looked good against Wlad, and then he nearly got stopped in two by McCline. Then he just seeed to phone it in the last decade or so.

Neither were anything to write home about, but I'd take Valuev, just because he was nothing if not consistent. Peter could win early or quit early or hold his gloves up and do nothing over the distance, depending on his mood.
