Sam Peter will be ready to fight this time around, he underestimated a very game and powerful fighter early on in Mccline, he took the fight in less than a 10 day notice, which certainly had an effect on the Peter.

I see Peter looking for a knockout early, and Maskaev trying to return fire as well. Peter will probably get the knockout before the 6 round, and my guess it will happen in the 3rd round from a single overhand right.

I think Peter takes this on points or late stoppage.

Sam Peter will beat this guy with ease. People are reading way too much into the McCline fight. McCline is a big guy with speed and power, this is the heavyweight division, anyone can get hit and hurt.

Its not like in the lighter divisions where if a man goes down its a surefire sign he has no chin. Sam Peter got hit, rocked to his boots, and came back to win the fight. I've seen Oleg get KO'd much worse even when he was in his prime, anyone care to remember Rahman?

Maskeav is not a real champion, he's a belt-holder, just waiting to get beat. He's very old, very rusty, and was only a fringe contender in his day. He will be banished from the heavyweight division by KO.

    Hard to say.

At first I favored Maskaev, then as the ring rust set in I started to favor Peter.

We all know how terrible Peter looked getting dropped 3 times by McCline, not exactly a confidence builder.

He did rebound however to outwork a tough & somewhat questionable decision.

Meanwhile Maskaev has been injured & probably unable to train much, his last fight was a decision win against Okhello. Not very inspiring to say the least.

I have no ****ing idea what the outcome will be. I can easily picture Peter coming out strong & catching Oleg cold for the KO or I can see Oleg catching Peter coming in with a brutal right hand.

I wouldn't bet a red cent here, that's makes it a great matchup!

When the fight was made, and everyone thought it would be an easy night for Peter, I figured it was a 50/50 and Maskaev had a good chance of pulling an upset.

Then, with the delays, i started thinking that ring rust might affect Maskaev and I leaned slightly to Peter.

Then, Peter fought McCline, and the next day, I figured Maskaev would KO Peter in the first three rounds.

Then, I thought the McCline fight might just have been an off night for Peter so I went back to 50/50.

Maskaev is the better boxer, by a long measure, but he has that very dodgy chin.

Peter has serious KO power, but now his chin's reputation has taken a hit (no pun intended).

If it goes 12, Peter probably loses.

    I don't think it will go 12.

    I think it's back to being 50/50.

If I had to predict somebody, by a slight edge, I'd say Oleg.

What planet are you guys from? Peter doesn't possess any "bombs" he is very awkward and can't zero in. His power is overrated, and his chin is average.Tyson KO's Pete round #1.

Sam Peter's weight is always a concern because if it goes late into the fight...Maskaev's conditioning may do the job to help him retain his title !

This fight has been OVER 1 year in the making!!!! This better be the best freaking heavyweight fight since Foreman-Lyle, but I have a feeling it won't be.

There are so many unknowns with both men, and it is impossible to predict what this kind of inactivity will do.
