And Povetkin has no balls. He's afraid of fighting anyone with power, that much is obvious.

    :good

    Povetkin avoids Wlad since 12/2008.

Samuel Peter fights Wlad in 2005 and this was a hell of a fight! The most exciting heavyweight fight since Lewis vs. Tyson. Excitement from round 1 to round 12. I died several times during the fight :D

and my point was Peter's power is way overrated. Povetkin would out box Peter and make him look silly.

:good Agreed. Peter never backed down from a fight with anyone. Povetkin is very overrated, and is scared of the heavy hitters of the division like Wlad and Peter. He's only good against fighters with no power, his resume proves that.

Steward said he was heavier handed than Wlad. So I would take his opinion, a trainer who has seen both men throw their best punches live.

Povetkin may just do that, but he also stands a chance of being knocked out as well.

Wlad punches more accurate than Peter. But in 2005 Peter was a very dangerous puncher. Than they turned Peter into a more "technical" boxer and Peter lost his explosive powerful style of fighting he shows against Wlad (rubbit punches inclusive). At 2005 Peter was a very dangerous hard hitting puncher and he could handle shots very well. Wlad throws some great shots and Peter took them very well.

I can't believe Peter is fighting to be a mandatory contender again! He beats a 400lb guy then fights someone no one has ever heard of and will get a shot at the world title :patsch

It was an exciting fight! I doubt it will be again though. The rematch will be something like Klitschko-Brewser 2, or Vitali-Peter. I'd quite like to see Wladimir get the chance to properly KO Peter this time though.

On technique alone, Wlad is the better puncher hands down. Though based strictly on who could punch harder on a non moving target "punching bag", my money would be on Peter.

I'm surprised they let him sit at the #1 spot for so long. I don't blame him for avoiding the Klitschkos, but he really should fight someone decent. Its quite frustrating following a fighter only to see them do nothing for so long after starting out brightly

I am absolutely intrigued by this fight. Sam has looked like shite as of late. Nagy sure looked impressive against a shot Maskaev. I'm gonna go with Nagy, too young, has good power, and is too fast for the plodding Peter. Call me crazy.:D

For who? Nagy? Yes. Peter? Dubious.

Aguilera is not special...the Maskaev he faced was spent like last Christmas' cash from grandma. Peter will demolish him and that doesn't mean Peter's "back" - or that the answer to "who nex?!" should be anyone in the top ten.

I'm not sure about that. Wlad would bust the heavybag open before Peter IMO.

Now, as for who can take it as well as they dish out, that's where Peter has a bit of an advantage over Wlad.

sure is a sign of the times when a #1 ranked opponent avoids fighting for a championship.....
when holyfield was coming up, after he kod #2 ranked adilson rodriguez, they were gonna keep knocking out everyone in the tip 10 until tyson had no one left to fight....
