before that he lost an 8 rounder to a 13-1 guy....

At least Aguilera is a new face and not a recycled pensioner as seems to be the norm for the heavy’s nowadays. Give him a chance he might come good.

I watched Aguilera blow Maskaev away earlier on. Maskaev losing by KO is about the most unsurprising upset I've ever seen, thank **** he never wrangled a shot at any of the current title-ists. What a massive waste of an event that would have been. I've got nothing against Maskaev but he should have retired after the Peter fight- at the very latest

I can't argue with that, but when fighters are ducking their title shot then you've got to expect some weaker contenders. The plus side to all of this is that there doesn't have to be a Peter-Maskaev 2

 

I think he means compared to the fighters Peter took after Chambers. They've been atrocious, man. This would really be a step up, hard as that is to comprehend considering he was just champion in 08.

I think Peter needs to keep fighting lower tier fighters. He needs to regain his confidence in his power and the only way to do that is by getting KOs. If that means getting KOs by fighting tomato cans, so be it. Peter needs to be a rough houser in the ring. All that teaching him to fight off the jab and on his toes nearly ruined him, as the only person he is going to out box is a short, fat James Toney. Peter has to be an agrressive fighter to be a successful fighter. And "NO", I don't think he will ever be a belt holder again.

 

I would not be surprised if Nagy beats him. Peter looks like crap.
