I would like to see that weight on todays Peter, he had faster hands and much faster feet, plus he's experienced and calm these days.. he picks his shots much much better than he did there and his balance has improved.
Like I said, physically.. that Peter mixed with todays would make a top-tier heavyweight (meaning he'll actually compete with Wladimir technically).

His only chance is to foul Wladimir these days, and that is unfortunate.

Then you must not watch the whole fights, just clips. Samuel has improved his craft over the years, a more consistant jab, better body work, better punching technique, and even some pretty good head movement if you watch the Maskaev fight again. I never said Peter was the most skilled Heavyweight, but he does possess the mental strength and killer instinct to beat most, if not all in the Heavyweight division, the fact that he's the number 2 Heavyweight right now should tell you something.

It tells something alright. The heavy division only has one true star and champion. That bein Wlad as he beat peter. Wlad has beatn Castill, peter, brock and sultan all of whom were undefeated until the met Wlad. Plus Wlad has improved pver the past 3 years.

Yeah, he was missing that extra padding he got from Ronald McDonald.

It tells us that heavyweight is woefully devoid of talent. Peter is crude to the point of making Audley Harrison look like Pernell Whitaker. The man doesnt listen to anybody. His amatuerish, has little to no head movement, a non existent jab, he isnt even aware of how to punch in combinations nor set up a punch, and even for a socalled puncher is simply too crude to even hit a static target. You dont award the number 2 in the division points for "moving" his head vs an old journeyman like Maskeav. Those wins should be blow outs. He couldnt even put away a fat James Toney. Its all well and good supporting your boy but lets be real Peter is what he is and thats an extremely crude slugger. When he learns how to throw a right straight you call me.

Has he though? I dont think Stewards done much for Vlads career at all. Vlad is still stiff doesnt have the killer instinct, boxes within himself and is very cautious (much like Lennox), and has simply proven to be the best of a very bad bunch mostly due to his size. Castillo Brock and Sultan all on a good day could probably make cruiser. None of them are world beaters.

Dont even let me get started onhis feet work! He is a big puncher with no skills. They should not even have let him fight Maskaev. He was forty years old!

Well damn i c what u mean. So if peter had beat would u think the same? Well lets go this route peter could barely beat a natural middleweight in toney. Plus toney was 38, fat, and past his prime.

You can't be serious. Maskeav has a glass jaw and always has and he was forty.
