Does the hometown boy have a shot, he is a southpaw and has decent power but seems to have fought at a lower level although Chavez jnr has hardly been in with anyone special.

Interested to know what anyone who has seen both thinks, seen some clips of Sanchez but having seen a couple of fights of Jnr I favour him quite strongly

    Any views

Sanchez is going to lose. I've seen him get rocked by a couple of terrible fighters. He's chinny.

LMAO @ TOPDOG, what a dick. Of course Salvador Sanchez would beat Chavez JR. Talking about his upcoming opponent Sanchez. Typical Floyd nut hugger.

One thing I would like to add....

I have seen Chavez Jr on quite a few occasions and everytime I came away with two observations.

1- WOW this guy he is fighting is really ****in terrible.

    AND

2- WOW Chavez Jr is ****in terrible.

I loved watching his dad fight, but my god he is bad. He will lose to the first DECENT fighter he faces.

What Sanchez is it? Is it that guy that fought Verno Phillips and JC Candelo?

If so, then I'll pick that Sanchez to win and easy.

I'd take Chavez Jr by stoppage then. Eddie Sanchez was the guy I was thinking of, gate keeper/dangerman. One fight he schools Candelo, the next he gets KTFO in a round, then he gives Phillips all he can handle and Phillips squeeks by and then he schools Bojorquez(journeyman).

Eddie Sanchez is one of those awkward guys with an awful record and could never win a belt, also hot and cold, but a guy that you don't want to come in underprepared against just incase that he's on a good night, because he's the classic 'spoiler' dangerman.

Eddie would likely school Chavez Jr nasty, it'd be fun.

A lot of guys involved in the combat game are headcases, Eddie is one of them. I still respect him for what he's done considering his status and standpoint and he's always entertaining in the TV fights.

See Eddie getting any fights lately? Dangermen are not wanted, the nearly beating Phillips and schooling Bojorquez makes him look like an assured loss to low level prospects and then of course of journeymen/gate keepers who want to keep a winning record in the hope of getting the TV fights that pay decent.

Then of course sucky contender types don't want to have an off night.

It's funny, that Archimekelstan can KTFO Sanchez in 1 round and never break the gate keeper level.

I have a feeling Bob Arum knows what he's doing putting Chavez Jr. in with this guy. Sanchez is supposed to make Chavez look good and that's what will most likely happen. JC Jr. by mid-late KO.
