Rank the following between themselves , or in other words rearrange my sorted list :
    1) Salvador Sanchez
    2) Juan LaPorte
    3) Julio Cesar Chavez
    4) Hector Camacho
    5) Jose Luis Ramirez
    6) Frankie Randall
    7) Vinny Pazienza
    8) Juan Martin Coggi

(This thread was supposed to be started by anarci :yep , wasn't it ? )
After you sort them , where would you put Pernell Whitaker and Meldrick Taylor ?
I myself would put Whitaker between Pazienza and Coggi and Taylor between Whitaker and Coggi
state if you meant it as a h2h / p4p or maybe compile 2 separate lists.
I really couldn't think of other fighters from that time & weight circas that come close to the above , can you ?
Probably Arguello but I tend to discount him due to his lack of durability and him being usually the bigger man in his fights (counts against him in p4p terms).

The facts that determined my sorting is this :
Sanchez > LaPorte due to h2h , Gomez and Nelson performances.
LaPorte > Chavez due to h2h (too close) , Tszyu and Rocky Lockridge performances
Chavez > Camacho due to h2h , Haugen and Rosario performances with Ramirez doesn't matter and Delahoya in Camacho's favor (better than what Chavez achieved against him)
Camacho > Ramirez (longevity and remaining unstopped in Camacho's favor as well as a bigger range of weights fought) , Cornellius Boza Edwards counts more to Ramirez' credit though
Ramirez > Randall (not certain) due to Ramirez' better durability (?)
Randall > Pazienza primarily due to Randall's fighting Chavez and Rosario while Pazienza couldn't beat Camacho , not that Camacho really beat him
Pazienza > Coggi for Pazienza's respectable achievements at weights higher than the scope of the rest here and fighting the better opposition overall
