Yes it has been done to death, but do you agree with the scenario 'The Ring's computer' simulated? Or what is your take? I am with you. A horrible match up for Sanchez. Pedroza to win the wafer thin decision, particularly if he can get away with some of his infamous naughty stuff.
I think in a very close fight, which people seem to think this would be, the guy doing the cleaner work will get the nod all things being equal. If rounds are very very close the guy landing the neater punches tends to get the nod over questionable moves made by the fighter "making it ugly." So i'd expect Sanchez to take it on the swing rounds that could have gone either way.
I've no doubt Sanchez was a great Feather, but I have a sneaking suspicion that he gets slightly overated today on account of his tragically early death. ie ,The James Dean Syndrome.
Agree with the fact that they depicted it as being a close fight. Disagree with the result, personally, and feel that Pedroza would have enough left in the later portion of the fight to hold off the charge and get the D. (Had Sanchez survived and the two rematched in 1983, I'd pick Sanchez.)
