I don't massively rate Dubois's resume much either. Beating that many journeymen puts Miller into gatekeeper territory for me - winning and losing a few at that level would solidify that.. beating a decent number of gatekeeper level fighters without losing to them would suggest a fringe contender at least (which he never was). Either way, I do think Dubois is quite a bit more proven than Sanchez or Ajagba... And I also think if either of them fought Joyce and Usyk (and to a lesser extent Miller), there's a reasonable chance you'd start seeing flaws you haven't seen yet.
While I don't disagree with anything your saying you have to factor in Dubois didn't beat the same Miller that beat all those journeymen, he's fought one that was older, 20lbs or so heavier and not on a cocktail of PED's. The Miller I saw fight against a shot Lucas Browne was not the same fighter who beat the likes of Washington, Duhaupas, Wach and Adamek. That version of Miller probably beats Dubois.
He is definitely better than Williams who was beaten by two journeymen (Francis and Sprott) in his prime. And I don't Dubois vs Chisora would be competitive now.
Sanchez is significantly better than Dubois technically, Dubois may be the more physical man but so was Ajagba. Dubois is just so telegraphed, and predictable, this is a perfect style for Sanchez. I got Sanchez by 8 to 4 rounds. There is no chance Frank Warren allows Dubois to take this fight. Way too high risk and low reward, we know how crap Dubois is against those with better technical ability than him. Miller was a good win although it can be argued that this was Miller after his PED run that made him a contender in the first place.
Its a shame as it showed how effective f*****g PEDS can really be, as he actually looked much better.
Dubois might be better than Williams but I really don't think there's that much separating them. The only difference is Dubois been protected more. He was bounced off the canvas 3 times by a blown up cruiserweight, who was brought in to make him look good. His best win is a even more overweight version of Miller who looked awful in his previous fight vs Browne. Nothing Dubois has done right now suggest he's even gate keeper level or as good as Chisora even now. He probably beats Chisora because he looks shot, but even shot Chisora probably makes Dubois work hard for the win because Chisora only fights one way, moving forward and Dubois can't fight well on the back foot at all. Chisora will gas and Dubois will take over but prior to that happening it would be competitive because Dubois is that bad.
This is true for the most part. Yes Miller's definitely a lesser man without the PEDs... But still has a solid chin and uses his (excessive) weight effectively. Unconventional, but effective.
