Sanchez vs Lopez 1 (and 2) are both great performances, as LolB put it close to punch perfect.

I myself like Louis vs Baer-awesome punching, clean, brutal, decisive.

This was one of sanchez's best fights... clean punching, effective aggressiveness.... it had everything. I have a lot of friends who are Mexican and unfortunately they don't even know who Sal Sanchez is! They all think Chavez was the greatest mexican fighter.... :(

As a huge Danny Lopez fan there was one thing that pissed me off more than anything else! Sanchez did not look like a 22 year old kid fighting arguably the hardest hitting featherweight of all time. The expression on his face THE WHOLE FREAKING TIME was more like that of a guy ordering a ****ing pizza!!!

Sanchez reminds me very much of Monzon in this respect. I just never recall seeing a look of doubt on his face, ever.

And they are correct but Sanchez has a strong call for 2nd place despite dying at just 23... great fighter.

Olivares was too hot & cold... Chavez was definitely the greatest Mexican, no doubt.

I can't say Olivares is greater than Chavez...... That's hard for me to digest without Pepto Bismol.......

Trinidad vs. Mayorga was an extremely effective display of clean and effective power punching. Mayweather doing a number on Gatti also comes to mind, thats as clean and precise as ur likely to see.

I don't think Mayorga and Gatti are in the same class with Little Red. We are talking about a guy who could hit people with what looked like a nothing punch, and they would go down like ya shot 'em in the head. Danny also had a very good work rate, huge stamina, a heart as big as all outdoors, and a set of balls about the size of Rhode Island! He got dismantled by a 21-22 year old kid, and that is far more impressive than anything Trinidad or Mayweather ever did at that age.

I was simply stating two performances that stand out in recent memory in terms of clean and effective punching. I never made any comparisons so im not quite sure why you did but whatever lol all good. Speaking of Lopez, I wonder how he would have done against Gomez had they fought in '79...............
