Sanction Fees

Makes me cringe when people win truely meaningless belts. Promoters need to be more imaginative in promoting bouts rather than relying on a cheap belt to give it some emphasis.

They would almost be better off making up their own belt and giving it to the boxer. Would save a wedge in fees.

Coyle could win the Hull international title. Instead of the WBC international title. Same difference.

 

A lot of casuals (my mates for instance) don't care. They've come for a night out and a title fight with a belt just puts a little excitement to the ring introductions, post fight announcements etc.

Its a protection racket. If you don't play ball its not your home or business that gets done over, it's your ranking.
