Just a hypothetical match up for you. The Corrie Sanders dragged out of semi-retirement and off of a golf-course to fight Wlad vs the Lennox Lewis coming off a years inactivity overweight and unprepared that fought Vitali, who would win?

I think Sanders lands a few good power shots but Lewis wins a decision. You never know though, Sanders was fast and punched very hard.

Even the over the hill version of LL beats Sanders and probably stops Sanders earlier than Vitali. If the fight went on for too long Sanders would of given LL acouple of scares and hurt him, but Lewis jab and right hand would be too much for Sanders. Lewis was still pretty dangerous when hurt. I remember Lewis rocking Vitali real bad just before their titanic fight was stopped. Vitali still won the event, tho. I don't see Lewis making same mistakes Wlad did vs Sanders, Lewis learned that vs a prime Rahman.

Lewis would have beat Sanders with ease. Even Sanders was shocked how bad Wlads chin is.

if Sanders can catch Lewis with the massive shots he hit wlad with and rocked vitali with in the first round, then i can see lewis falling

So an out of shape Lewis instead of fighting (and beating) a killer like Vitali, he fights a bum like that? Early knockout win for Lennox instead of a mid rounds TKO for Lennox

You just never know with Sanders...... He could have pulled another shocking upset. Lewis certainly didn't have the best chin and Sanders could definitely put Lewis to sleep if he landed that straight left hand. Would have been a good fight thats for sure.

Sanders a bum? Thats a good one! Sanders was easily the hardest hitting HW southpaw of all time an a criminal underachiever with bad promoters/management, and no lucky breaks. Not only that he often let himself go and still gave a good showing more than not. he was just a natural talent that could have been something great.

Lennox never fought southpaws. He made a career of taking out slow, orthodox sluggers. He was also prone to lapses where he'd go through the motions and could be one-shot KO'd as a result.

My bet is that Lennox underestimates Sanders and gets knocked out.

People can rag on Wlad all they want, but the man's fought every style of fighter out there. The same cannot be said for Lennox, who didn't fight anyone remotely like Sanders. He had the chance to fight a world class southpaw in Byrd and he didn't, either.

Sanders by a KO. Lennox had MASSIVE issues with motivation and laziness. Jamaican to the core, why stress when you can relax, beautiful climate + beautiful women + rum and kush

Sanders would gas like he did against Vitali. He'd last 7-8 rounds at the most.

Sanders definitely has a punchers chance early on and could pull off the upset but so did Lewis and once passed the 3rd round Sanders will gas as he was usually in worse shape than even this unmotivated and overweight Lewis.

I suspect we'd see a similar fight to the one Lewis had with Briggs. Lewis is wobbled maybe even dropped early but gets up and crushes Sanders within 5 rounds.

But prime Lewis KO's Sanders in 1 maybe 2 rounds at the most.

Lewis but you never really know if he'll get KO'd in the first few rounds against Sanders, who will always be known as having pulled off one of the greatest "go balls to the wall" moments in recent boxing.

Lewis, but not without tasting some canvas early in the fight. Sanders also had quite a chin on him so a ref stoppage would be more likely (as in the Vitali fight).
