Carmona easily won round 1 but Cordova came guns blazing in the second.

Cordova came back with all of his might in the second, letting go of extensive flurries. Carmona exhibits good use of the high guard and counters with his thus far exceptionally sharp punch picking. Close round but probably Carmona's if you like the cleaner work, Cordova for activity.

 

Cordova applied quite the pressure on the spanish olympian to the extent Carmona seems tired.

Round 3 Cordova 10-9

 

The third round was very high paced, Cordova pressuring relentlessly, unleashing the salvo to the body and head of Carmona. Despite good movement and countering by the Spaniard, Cordova's activity outdid him in this round.

 

Cormona started good in the 4 fourth round, then Cordova took over with the Spaniard landing some hard shots at the end.

Carmona coming to terms with Cordova's pressure a bit in the fourth, finding good catch and counters and spinning off on the backfoot. Cordova is still landing plenty due to his endless assault though. Tough round to score, Carmona landed the harder shots in the round so probably his.

 

Carmona turned the tables at the end of the round, landing the harder and cleaner shots during the whole round.

Round 5 Cordova 10-9

 

Cordova really pushing the pace now in the fifth, the Spaniard is flagging and taking punishment as he slows down. He still launches loaded up power shots in the pocket but Cordova is just outworking him and even outmanoeuvering him.

 

Carmona is doing better and clipped Cordova hard to the extent he could had knocked him out there. But Cordova applied a lot of punches at the start and end of the round.

Round 6 Cordova 10-9

 

Carmona says **** it and decides to sit down and trade in the pocket for with Cordova in the sixth. He's having success with it perhaps to his surprise. He actually takes the round having landed many bombs on the chin and temple of Cordova.

 

The Olympian falls and although exhausted temporarily manages to fight back, however Cordova is applying a lot of pressure.

Round 7 Cordova 10-8

 

The pace of this fight is absolute madness. Carmona is still trading but he's making the mistake of trying to do it on the backfoot again, giving Cordova space to push him back with combos. Cordova takes the seventh.

In round 8 Carmona was winning the round by picking his shots but not doing much damage to Cordova until he got clipped, knocked down and was overwhelmed by the mexican's pressure.

Round 9-9

 

Holy ****ing **** what a round! Cordova is doing his thing, relentless pressure, and then Carmona comes out with some sweet single power punches but gets caught with a peach on the point of the chin and does the chicken dance, he's pushed down, slip, and then shells up and swings for the fences to survive the round.
