Mark very few women boxers do, however they both showed excellent boxing skills especially Mayer. I really dont think you have even seen the fight,it is getting many complments on line from those who have seen it.As opposed to you and your pre conceived ideas

Wow that is terrible. I did not score the fight watching it live but felt that Ryan was Landing the heavier leather. I watched the back half of the flight this morning and gave Ryan the last five or four the last five

    Just caught up with this.

Had it 7-3’or 6-4 Mayer but a definite Mayer win….and I backed Ryan to win.

4-1 up after 5. Timing and accuracy. Mayer never stopped throwing all night despite her visibly looking the more tired of the 2 going into the 2nd half. Mayer still took the 7th and 8th clearly for me.

Ryan landed hard shots of her own and forced the fight but Mayer’s boxing on the back foot worked better.

Elsewhere on the card, Carrington won by 2-3 rounds but was completely ****.

Zayas Sosa was pretty boring, Zayas has nice shot variation and can box well for 10 rounds at one pace but dude lacks power.

You need help, like serious mental help.

This is to be expected from you. Comments only with the intent to provoke. Why do you bother?

I never score live fights but it appeared to me that Mayer was boxing well ftom the start, Ryan overcame her slow start to win some later rounds. Kind of like Loma-Lopez.

But I've not been quoted as wanting to punch Mayer in the face so perhaps I'm not biased enough to score for Ryan.

Ryan would have been justified in not fighting due to the attack on her at the hotel. Probably the reason for her slow start.

She boxed very well and ultimately won the fight, close....but decisively.

All of those crying robbery are nut cases that need mental help.

Can't speak for Ryan before the fight, I'm sure it would've unsettled her but in New York you always need to have a tough skin, I don't know her well enough to say how much it would've affected her on the night, only she will know and I think the claims of "trying to ruin her career" are well over the top.

So... you deemed it your job to follow one of the moderators around and harass me about my unobjectionable scorecards? Well... it's not! I've been quite nice to you so far and more than patient, but this is becoming a very annoying trollish pattern with you... so a word of advice, stop poking me before I turn into a bear.

You do understand that with some matches, scoring can be quite subjective correct? Clearly this was one of them. While you fully believe Mayer won the fight, most likely by near shutout, I'm just as steadfast in my belief that Sandy Ryan won it in a similar manner. Both sides have been arguing their case across YouTube and Twitter vociferously. Hell... there were plenty of people on this RBR that scored it for Ryan as well, so come down off your high horse, you smug sanctimonious prat. Because this huffy pissy little act you've been at lately is wearing very thin. Of course you ignore everyone else and target me, as per usual. Sure, you'll say it's because I had it a shutout. However, I feel every bit as passionate about my scorecard as all of the people who thought Mayer won. But here's the catch, it's a hell of a lot easier to find 10 rounds to give to Ryan than it is finding 6 rounds to hand to Mayer.

Let's consult the Compubox stats, while they aren't always reliable, lets just say they were in this particular case, considering Mayer was clearly the preferred fighter of both Top Rank and ESPN. So if there was any bias shown, it would be towards her.

Now, Sandy Ryan outlanded Mayer in rounds 1, 3, 6, 8 and 9. While they landed the same amount in round 7 with 21 each. So, we're at a draw, with one round hanging in the balance. If you tip that towards Ryan, that makes 6 out of 10 rounds. Now, Mayer outlanded her in rounds 2, 4, 5, 10. But just barely... so then we have to look at who was landing the harder punches, and considering it was apparent to pretty much everyone keeping track, even the ones who scored it in Mayer's favor, Ryan was landing the heavier leather especially in the 2nd and 10th. While Mayer was mostly landing pitty pats. Although I do get it, Mayer threw 100 more punches, but her accuracy was woeful. I understand not everyone has as keen an eye as I do when it comes to what it or isn't landing clean. But the fact that you all get vampire glamoured into thinking someone like Mayer is dominating, just because she's throwing nothing but shots to the arms and jabs, most of which are falling short, really is kind of pathetic. Although also understandable, since most seem to relax their scoring standards when it comes to female boxing. But I don't, I hold them to the exact same standard as I do the men. So the fact remains, Sandy won 5 rounds without controversy, while the other 5, she's clearly landing the far more impactful, and I do mean impactful punches, because they were head jarring rights over the top, and legit power jabs. While Mayer was making a lot of noise and letting her hands go, while landing little of consequence and falling short with the rest of them. But, in the interest of fairness, I did rewatch the fight. I shifted one round in Mayer's favor, the 4th. While Mayer definitely has an argument for winning the 5th. But Ryan took the rest. Even a biased company man vomit like Kriegel scored it for Ryan, which makes your scorecard twice as egregious.
