Sandy Saddler v Salvador Sanchez

I'd back Salvador Sanchez all the way, who deals very well witht he kind of pressure Saddler would bring. Salvador will get ample oppertunities to counter, is hard to faze or intimidate, and will win a UD.

 

I don't know. Keep in mind that Sanchez's claim to fame is beating my hero Little Red Lopez twice (and he was over the hill and still hit Sanchez some good shots) and Azumah Nelson, who wasn't quite the overrated star he became.
Saddler had a long career and proved himself in a variety of situations and I think he would bring a class that Sanchez never experienced. He was a very rough-house type of fighter and those tactics were often effective- as against Pep- in making a guy do things he hadn't intended to do..
I would take saddler by decision or maybe late stoppage. A lot of what people say about Sanchez is based on "might have been" instead of what was.

 

I'll be going against the grain here but I like Saddler. Sanchez had a great chin, but Saddler could make the best chins evaporate. And the guy was an underrated boxer puncher.

 

I'd go with Saddler here. Sanchez was very correct but Saddler wouldn't let him get into a rythm. Saddler kept his hands out in front of his face putting his opponents off and was on his toes at all times, not to mention a man who knew all the tricks of inside fighting and could rough up the most elusive of them.

Saddler brings the pressure for a decision win.

 

I'm ashamed to say I haven't seen enough of Saddler to really say. :think

 

The variable here would be how strong sanchez is in the clinches. If he can hold his own, his chances go up. If not, he gets walked over. Either way, I think Saddler wins the fight, but the difference is in how competitive it is.

 

Dunno...the word 'rough' doesn't even begin to describe Saddler.

Saddler was a devastating force. Sanchez`s career was cut short but he proved alot for a kid only 22 years old. It was uncommon how much he proved.

I like Sanchez by UD. Tough, rough brutal war.
