This may depend on the leniency of the third man.

Saddler bombs Loma out, mid-late rounds. Loma is good, but not the technician that pep was

So hard to tell at this point in Loma's career... Stylistically, he is set up to possibly beat Saddler, but does he have the great quality to do this? Styles don't always win. Saddler was so damn good at what he did it was hard to derail him. Let me think on this...

Saddler would take only so much of being second fiddle before he started to equalize things...he'd be too much for Loma I think.

So far Loma looks good against flatfooted sluggers.

But how do you think he would do against Saddler ;)

Imagine what Saddler would have done to Lomachenko if he was subbing for Salido? Awful.

But, that said, Lomachenko is landing so many hard punches against fighters, it's hard to know for sure wtf would happen. Also, because people have done so badly recreating Salido's rhythm-breaking style against such a fierce opponent, i'm not sure that this loss was anything more than a mirage. By which I mean I'm not sure anyone could recreate it against the more experienced pro that is Lomachenko now.

Gun to my head, Saddler, based upon respect for the centurion, but there's no money going down.

If Lomachenko had more power he would be just about unbeatable, imo. The guy's movement, anticipation , reflexes, punch variety, and judgement of distance is unearthly.

He wouldn't be unbeatable because he gets hit often and was dropped by an opponent that is a several levels below elite. I do think he beats Saddler. I can only see movers giving Loma trouble at this point of his career. His best wins were against Russell who only fires when stationary and Walters who just stalks. Did he really outclass Rigo? I didn't see it. The misses and rabbit punches grabbed my attention.

    Indeed.

The only question I have about Loma is his durability. A good solid punch knocks him off balance. I’ve noticed good punches that land on his guard makes him wince. And he often gets badly marked up after fights even when few punches seem to land solidly on him. Both of his eyes were badly bruised and swollen after the Pedroza fight.

I think Saddler, who hit really hard and could operate against elusive fighters, may be one of the worst possible matchups for him. And I still would give Loma a good chance to win. But I think I would favor Saddler.

Ha,ha,ha,,spoken like a man who knows Sadler! In a 15 round fight I see Loma's face breaking up with Sadler roughing him up like sandpaper and stopping Loma in 14. If Sandy could beat Pep , he'll beat Loma
